Defunding ACORN is a necessary thing since it would be immoral to allow such a corrupt organization to continue receiving tax-payer dollars. But it cannot stop here. There should be a complete investigation of ACORN and every organization that had dealings with ACORN so that we can see exactly how far the corruption extends.
Will Nancy Pelosi keep her promise to get rid of the Culture of Corruption?

Thank you Glenn Beck!
Thank you Andrew Breitbart!
Thank you to all those who brought the glare of light onto that criminal enterprise.

Pelosi: I will not defund ACORN, in fact, we will make an Army out of ACORN and they will cut the hearts out of your conservative children and feed them to 13 year old Ecuadorian prostitutes ...
Over the top?

I’m not sure how this will change things as ACORN has basically changed names now. As well, most of their funding came via contracts with others in a sort of money laundering scheme.

Which is precisely why we need a thorough investigation of ACORN and all who do business with them.

If Pelosi and her corrupted Dems don’t bring this up for a vote then it will be an albatross of huge hypocritical proportions hanging over their heads and much like a Damoclean sword.

Tricks to watch out for.
1. ACORN switcharoo name change.
2. Only ACORN itself is defunded, but not its more than one hundred affiliated orgainizations.
3. House votes for a slightly different version so that everyone can be on the record having voted against ACORN, but a final version dies during the House-Senate conference to reconcile the bills.

Again, this is why we need to have an investigation of ACORN and every organization that ACORN has dealings with.

Defunding ACORN is great for starters, but why doesn’t the GOP go all in and defund HUD?

Both my senators have voted to eliminate ACORN funding. Husband and I just sent our Rep. an email requesting the same.

There is a difference between “cutting funding” and “defunding”. I certainly do not want a penny of taxpayer money going to these thugs.

From what I understand this vote is to refuse funds for only one program; housing I think? I have heard that there are about 87 different federal programs giving funds to ACORN. Can anybody confirm the aforementioned?

I called my congressidiot Sander Levin this morning and asked him to lead the charge to completely defund and investigate the criminal enterprise called ACORN.
The kid who answered the phone feigned ignorance. Then I asked him what he thought about the march over the weekend. He said he lives in Baltimore and knew nothing about it.
What an ignorant buffoon.

I saw it earlier, but cannot seem to dredge it up. There is a thread on FR where it was brought up today.
