Demoncrats biting the dust?

Why the Democrats claim this is some small fringe group.

LOL!

Wouldn’t it be great if we could send Dodd into retirement at his “little” cottage on the Irish coast?

Is this an ‘09 or ‘10 election?

I think that if this repellent toad loses his seat next year, it will be the sweetest and greatest victory of the 2010 election cycle. I want to piss on his political grave.

Chris Dodd is the epitome, the archetype, the very Platonic ideal of a worthless crooked politician, who never held an honest job a day in his life, but is full of ideas for taking your money at gunpoint and spending it on his cronies and welfare-sucking robot voters.

Heartening news, but a loooong time until the 2010 elections, and I’m not counting Dodd out just yet. He may be as crooked as a dog’s hind leg, but Dodd’s no fool. You can bet he’s calling in every political favor, and looking under every rock for dirt on his opponent(s). A lot can happen on the national scene, too. If the economy turns around into 2010, particularly in the area of job growth, he could get a generic party affiliation “bounce”.

That said, the folks I know in CT - a dozen or so folks whose views range from Reagan conservative to Lieberman Democrat - ALL want his head on a political pike. So, we’ll see. I’m hopeful he’ll be defeated.

If there is a chance that a Republican will beat him, he will drop out (he has prostate cancer don’t you know) and the crat party will anoint a winner to run in his place, thus keeping the seat in crat hands.

Yes, seeing Dodd defeated would be sweet indeed. But a lot can happen in a year. Let's just hope you loses.

Yes, I agree that Dodd is an extremely corrupt politician. And though this is not the place to discuss Platonic philosophy, Platonic forms are perfections of truth, goodness, and beauty. Chris Dodd doesn't resemble any Platonic form. He is simply who he is, a corrupt politician who has never risen above his corrupt nature. And nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see him voted out of office.

Is this an '09 or '10 election?

2010! So still a long way to go.

The only US Senate election likely coming up before November 2010 is a special election to fill Ted Kennedy's vacant seat in Massachusetts. But I believe that 39 of the 100 Senate seats are up in November 2010 (a few more more than usual, due to several senators having vacated their seats early because of moves to other positions, plus Kennedy's death). Of the seats that will be up, 19 are currently held by Dems (including Reid in Nevada), 19 are currently held by the GOP, and 1 is currently vacant.
