I just got this phone number (866)311-3405,from the SEIU action alert system.Its part of an attempt to leverage Barky`s speech and garner support for his socialist healthcare proposal or the "Employee Free Choice Act".It says they`ll pay for the call to your Congresscritter if you enter your zip code.I tried it and they did send me to my senator`s office, which is closed at this time of the evening.Would you like to place a call to your Congresscritter`s office courtesy of the union goons at SEIU?
Are we, the taxpayers, paying for the calls?

The people paying for and operating the toll free number (SEIU or whoever) will have your phone number. Even if you have caller ID blocking on your line, or if you use *67 before dialing. Nothing will block caller ID when you call a toll free number. The party paying for the call gets the number. It's a fundamental principle of toll free numbers.
The only workaround is to call from a pay phone. And, the bonus for doing this is that it adds $0.60 to the cost of the call (paid by the party operating the toll free number). Good luck finding a working pay phone, though.
Oh, and them paying for your call to congress might be interpreted as “establishing a business relationship.” If they have an established business relationship with you, they can call you for any reason. Even if you are on the national “do not call list,” they are allowed to call you and solicit you if there is an established business relationship.
i got that to off of twitter ( i check the libs frequently). i made the call and then hung up when i realized that they probably had my number, as toll free numbers are free from the call blocking. i didn’t go through with speaking to a union member. i decided that i didn’t want to be part of their “claimed” number of “obama care supporters”.
who knows anymore what they have up their sleeve.

I`m not too worried about my # since my current plan is about to expire and I`m planning to go with another.I`ve changed it many times, Verizon, T-Mobile, Nextel.I never upgrade the phone,just give me the cheapest or a freebie and the shortest plan you got,that way if I get p*ssed at them at them I`ll tell them straight up to get bent, and then its, NEXT CONTESTANT ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT!
