Camille Paglia, a democrat with brain, on her disappointment with Obama:
As an Obama supporter and contributor, I am outraged at the slowness with which the standing army of Democratic consultants and commentators publicly expressed discontent with the administrations strategic missteps this year. I suspect there had been private grumbling all along, but the media warhorses failed to speak out when they should have from week one after the inauguration, when Obama went flat as a rug in letting Congress pass that obscenely bloated stimulus package. Had more Democrats protested, the administration would have felt less arrogantly emboldened to jam through a cap-and-trade bill whose costs have made it virtually impossible for an alarmed public to accept the gargantuan expenses of national healthcare reform. (Who is naive enough to believe that Obamas plan would be deficit-neutral? Or that major cuts could be achieved without drastic rationing?)
[..]Colleges have become indoctrination labs, liberal colleges have become anything but liberal and will not allow any opinion that disagrees with their activist, non-educator, professors. I must agree with Ms. Paglia: The Democratic brain has been marinating so long in those clichés that its positively pickled.

“writers” sure make themselves look dumb when they say loosing instead of losing...especially in the title...
Just to be a pissant ... didn’t you mean “losing” not “loosing”
Just askin’
This gets misspelled so much I’m beginning to think it’s actually correct.
Americans lose when obozo is on the loose...
It's right up there with my favorite, "irregardless."
They ALL have to go! 2010 is the year of REAL “change”!
or “infer” vs. “imply”.
or “irony” vs. “coincidence”
today’s journalists simply fail to master the American language.
That's exactly what they want you to think...
It's like saying "I could care less." when it should be "I couldn't care less."
Repeated incorrectly enough times and the wrong version passes into common usage, which is one step away from changing Mirriam-Webster's.
but one can be irrespective ;-)
and WHEN did DISRESPECT become a verb?
WTG Camille!
Prunes do pretty good to loosen me up. It takes a day or so.
The quality of the blog floggers on FR is really taking a hit.
Stefan,
You are right, thank you. I most humbly accept the Grand Duke of Lithuania’s rebuke.
By the way, I never claimed to be either a writer or even a “writer.”
listenhillary,
You are unfortunately right, but it’s what some readers understand
Camille is right ON TARGET yet again..go to Salan and see how viciously she is attacked for this piece....the left is so rabid and bitter even towards their own.
Loosing?

It looks like the Poster doesn’t quite have cut and Paste down So some editing occurred.
There are People that relish pointing out composition errors such as spelling, punctuation and in my case Capitalization.
I know where the shift key is and I know that I use it maybe more often then I should.
If you look up Capitalization there are 17 Rules for it.
My posts may not conform to any particular Style Book, But I really don’t care.
Are we to be silenced by punctuation Nazis?
