Here is video of Sen. Charles Grassley responding to President Obama's challenge to Republicans to come up with alternatives to Health Care Reform. Grassley said those comments sound "very partisan," coming from someone who has claimed to be a "post-partisan" President.
Grassley also slammed CNN and other mainstream media for not covering the four Republican plans that have been been put forward, saying, I guess you haven't covered them because "we are in the minority and you want to help the President so much." Grassley hammers CNN at the 4:20 mark of the video.
CNN's John Roberts responded that "I can assure you we don't want to help any politician." . . . (VIDEO)

It’s amazing that even Chas. Grassley is developing a spine, thanks to some good stiff TEA Party spirit that he witnessed this summer.
“CNN’s John Roberts responded that “I can assure you we don’t want to help any politician.”
I’m amazed that someone in the MSM has finally admitted that Obama is a politician, and not a god.
That's rich.
“CNN’s John Roberts responded that “I can assure you we don’t want to help any politician.”
RIGHT! That’s why this same guy was running full stream cover for Zero’s indoctrination curriculum - insulting his guests and omitting facts
John Roberts, ex disc jockey from Toronto, the great truth teller.
Proving what I have believed for quite some time; the GOP are not leaders, they are followers. They ARE starting to do what we want (finally) but only AFTER the TEA parties really started showing that they were (tens of thousands of attendees) for real.
If I heard him right, John Roberts said, CNN “will redouble our efforts to eliminate Republican plans”.
Grassley then says, “thank you”.
Too much. LOL
John Roberts admitte no such thing. His words can be taken different ways.
A number of Republicans in and out of congress have come up with alternatives to Obamacare, including Newt. “The One” chooses to ignore that fact and Pubs, for the most part, have not been invited to the table. Of course doing nothing would be preferable to Obamacare for many.
Funniest thing: at 4:59, John Roberts says: “...and we will re-double our efforts to eliminate the Republican plans.”
He actually said “to illuminate Republican plans”
You beat me to the punch, very funny indeed. http://citizen5408.com
I think the word was 'illuminate', but that isn't the point. Twice nothing is still nothing.
Lets call it a Freudian slip. ;^)

I want to read or at least see the 4 republican plans. Do they include tort reform?
“If I heard him right, John Roberts said, CNN will redouble our efforts to eliminate Republican plans.”
I thought the same thing, but after listening to that segment 5 times in a row it sounded to me like Roberts did say “illuminate” the Repub plan. But you’re right, unless you listen to it very carefully it does sound like “eliminate,” plus I don’t think Roberts liked having to say “illuminate” anything Repub.
So he checked with every CNN employee that fast???
“Proving what I have believed for quite some time; the GOP are not leaders, they are followers. They ARE starting to do what we want (finally) but only AFTER the TEA parties really started showing that they were (tens of thousands of attendees) for real.”
I think Republicans suffer from something akin to the emotional effects of “Battered Child Syndrome.”
For at least 75 years, the MSM has portrayed Republicans as:Racists, Greedy Scrooges, Grandma-starvers, ... and a host of other unsavory characters.
Republicans have never been portrayed as good or decent characters.
Any decent thing a Republican has done was met with scorn and derision from the media and consequently from the public.
If any time a child stands up to say something, (s)he is bashed on the head, pretty soon the child learns NOT to stand up, and not to say anything.
That’s what has happened to Republicans, I think. Truly remarkable Republicans like Reagan were able to overcome this. But such heroes are indeed few and far between (Sarah Palin is such a hero, I believe).
The evildoers in this scenario are the media, not the Republicans.
I hope this coming weekend, at least some of the demonstrators line up outside the major media offices and let those media bastards know, in no uncertain terms, that their glory days of misinformation monopolies are OVER!
