Malaysia had recently banned Muslims from a Black Eyed Peas concert and has been cracking down on Christians, Thailand had another bomb attack, China has Muslims stabbing non-Muslims with infected needles and Christians are being attacked in the Philippines. This is all part of Muslims in the Far East getting stricter and stricter. All the while the West is still waiting for "moderate" Islam to comes and save the day. It is not happening.

While there are Moslems scared to death of their more erratic neighbors there are no "moderate" Moslems.

Part of the problem is that this is one religion that calls upon each individual follower to interpret everything his own way, and preferably toward killing someone.

Jus' the way it is. Folks should be prohibited from importing Islam into this country ~

Not condoning this practice, but Red China is not exactly innocent in its treatment of its Muslim minority.

Yes on the second part, but on the interpretation part, it seems like everyone runs to the nearest mullah. Every mullah is a religious king, issuing fatwahs on this and that. And yes, preferably involving killing.

Depending on the Islamic sect you are talking about mullahs are, or are not, trained, or even regulated in some manner.

In some sects the head of household is all the mullah you get and if he decides its time for a little honor killing, that's the way it goes.
