Photoshopped? White House Uploads Photo On Blog With A Halo Around The President's Head (Photos)

This was uploaded on the whitehouse.gov blog showing what appears to be a photoshopped picture of President Obama speaking to a crowd....Could some Freeper photographers weigh in on this?....

It looks like he’s back lit, rather than photoshopped. He just happens to be standing in front of the light. While I don’t put anything past these folks, I think this is a coincidence.

That’s not a halo, it’s either a light behind his head or the picture was altered to look like there was a light there. Images of people on stage with a light behind them, creating this kind of halo effect, are common in photography.

There’s no manipulation needed - all it takes is for Obama’s pinhead to block out a light that would normally shine right at the camera lens.

Actually, it’s good technique. In the service of a communist Kenyan imposer, sure, but good photographic technique none-the-less. It makes the subject stand out from the background.

No.
It’s a stage light being eclipsed by his head.
My guess is the photographer angled it that way to block the glare from the light.
He probably thought it to be artistic, as well.

No doubt the White House saw it and wanted to put it out because of the Messianic light illuminating around his head.

This is what I think too.
However, on second look, I don’t see anything indicating a light fixture in the area it appears to be coming from.
No cabling or mounting brackets on the wall, nor free standing rigs are visible.

This is nothing new... If everyone will remember the press was absolutely giddy about putting out photos that made Obama look like this... For instance, check out the picture below (and yes, that is a REAL quote from Obama). Nope, nothing new, and probably not photoshopped either. His supporters among the photographers in the press corps LOVE to set-up these kinds of shots...

I agree. But it's no accident. The photographer positioned the camera so Obama’s head eclipsed a bright light, maybe on the wall of the auditorium.
