Real Funny Freedom-light, maybe since I spent 2 1/2 hours going through Town Hall videos, you could maybe let me upload the ones I uncover, since you take all the hotair and breitbart videos all week......this is about the 100th time...........(Video from Town Hall Meeting with Brian Baird, the disabled Marine blast him again and makes him read the 10th Amendment)

“If you did not hear me before I am a United States Marine and I will not be intimidated”
Hurray for David Hedrick! A brave American patriot and a fellow Washingtonian.
Baird and his fellow travellers are fighting back by asking, “I suppose you believe Medicare and Medicaid are unconstitutional, too.”
The correct answer is, “Medicare and Medicaid are not required, neither are they the only options available today. They act as safety nets, and people have the choice whether to participate. If they were the only options available, it would destroy health care as we know it. The government has no constitutional authority to monopolize the practice of medicine.”
Please add or correct.
We MUST get this right and be able to bring them to bear.
Washington and Oregon *ping* Please!
I don't believe this is strictly true. My understanding is that one MUST sign up for medicare at age 65, or never be allowed to enroll.
As a practical matter, my father's former employer (and I imagine most other businesses) will not offer a health insurance plan once my parents turn 65 years old.
And I'd like to ask Congressman Baird, if your interpretation of the Constitution is correct, what does the Constitution forbid the Federal Government from doing?
It seems that 'regulating commerce' allows the Feds to do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING.
Who is running against Baird? Why not get a grassroots movement to put someone like Hedrick to run against him? I would love to see the average AMerican unseat these reps. who have hung on for way too many terms.
Ping! And I hope every man & woman that ever served heard that as well!
I am so proud of our men & women in uniform!
As regards employer health plans, the law demands that "workers" of age 65 or older must be allowed the same plan as younger workers. This would seem to exclude retirees. So a retired person is left to find another insurance policy or go on Medicare or do without.
There is no specifically mentioned provision for enrolling in medicare after age 65. To enroll in medicare part B one must be within the initial enrollment period (3 months on either side of your 65th birthday), OR may enroll between Jan and March of each subsequent year AND pay a 10% penalty for EACH year you failed to enroll after age 65.
This really isn't voluntary.
Nearly everything they do is unconstitutional...Rarely do they care about that document. The courts care even less.

Wasn’t aware of that. Sounds like “strings attached” to me.
Oh, I forgot to add that Medicare does not provide adequate coverage for a lot of folks, so they buy ancillary health insurance. I know my mother has Medicare AND has Tufts Medical insurance.
This would not be an option under Obama Commiecare.

If the feds stayed out of insurance in the first place, this would not be a problem.
