lot of folks have tried to hyper analyze the influences on President Obama. One influence that largely goes unnoticed outside of the city of Chicago is the influence of Mayor Richard Daley. President Obama made his initial political base in the Hyde Park area of Chicago. No one gets any political power in the city of Chicago without the seal of approval of the mayor himself. Yet, the link between the two is often overlooked. Only John Kass of the Chicago Tribune has done a very good job of making the link.

Chicago shouldn’t be allowed to host the olympics, it does not represent the nation.
Once again, the fact that we basically have no Free Press, no journalists, is illustrated perfectly by this story of Chicago corruption.

No, it’s not. I was out all day and people are furious. Are you listening, DU? People - Republicans, Independents AND Democrats - are FURIOUS that the media allowed Obama and his administration to walk away with the prize.
Too little too late, but it did make me feel better. Misery loves company!
People are energized and it feels good for them to stand up and voice their opinions. They have been silent for too long but...no more!!!
