My fellow FReepers, if you have not yet heard of GOOOH please take a few moments of your time to consider getting on board.
As many of you know I am in favor of a STRONG 2-party system. I hesitated to get on board with GOOOH at first because I was not sure if doing so would be no different than joing a "3rd party" organization which I so strongly opposed in the past.
In short I think this process can and will work for U.S. HOUSE elections! As for other races I think we can use this same process to decide which candidate should get the "GOOOH endorsement" in the primary. Just a couple of thoughts here. I look forward to the debate here on FR. Now let's GOOOH !
TOWARD VICTORY in 2010

FReeper David Osborne
Agree in full.
David, I appreciate your goal but I am afraid that GOOOH will probably do more harm then good. Conservatives are much more likely to support a GOOOH candidate than Progressives are. Thus GOOOH would split conservative votes and allow Dems to win districts that they would otherwise lose. We need to instead concentrate our efforts on winning the GOP primaries.
Maybe things will improve later ................ FRegards
my pleasure.. What I like most about this process is that good candidates are able to surface without the need for a multi-million dollar campaign.. at least that is the way I see it for now..
CA-MON FReepers it is time we GOOOH !!
The sooner my fellow FReepers get on board with the GOOOH process the sooner we can turn the HOUSE around..
GOOOH is not about an agenda.. its about sending REAL REPRESENTATIVES to the House of Representatives.. GOOOH is about a PROCESS not a platform.. check it out and you will understand..
Donmeaker,
I think you really need to take a closer look at what GOOOH is all about.. it is not about a PLATFORM or AGENDA... although candidates seeking the GOOOH endorsement must have a platform and an agenda.. in fact GOOOH candidates will need to answe directly to the VOTERS throughout the process... it is time to get on board NOW if you want to participate fully in the process...
Thanks for the ping!
-Id bet money I know you...
I think we all would have been better off if that had been the case.
I think whoever we run needs to have their own crew, to make sure they aren't screwed in the TV prep department.
Hunter got no credit for the delegates he had, and the Libmedia saw to that, but then, they had sold their souls to Obama long before then.
I’m not suggesting that folks be limited to one term. But they should be required to RE-earn their seat every two years. Nobody should feel obligated to support the incumbant and the voters should consider all of their options every two years
May I please save Paul Ryan?
WITH the most extreme left wing senator NOW President. Its no time to be experimenting with a third party unless it will get democrats out of office in 2010 and get them out of control of the House or Senate. If we don’t take the House or Senate away from obambi, he will have more time to destroy this country.

IMHO GOOOH is more acurately described as a NON partisen process rather than a 3rd party. Which is why I hesited to get on board. I am a huge fan of the 2-party system in the sense that we need a majotity and a minority in order for the legislative process to work. I think GOOOH is the right aproach to use in choosing a candidate for the HOR. For now this is an achievable goal. I suspect throguh the GOOOH process we will see great candidates surface that may not have a chance under thw current system
I’m out.
I interviewed the founder of this project many months ago. Nice enough fellow.
But the system is just that: a system.
While we have plenty of process problems, this is not our main problem.
GOOOH is morally neutral. Or, to put it more harshly, it is morally vacant.
Unless and until America is willing to return to its moral basis, it cannot be turned around or saved.
1) To work to promote candidates only during the primaries.
2) Rather than fielding candidates within a new party, field candidates within the established parties.

I certainly have not problem with that Dave.
