The echoes rattle the cracked foundation of the colonial cobblestone, a streaking horse pierces the coarse evening air, and a lone rider, enveloped only by the fog of his own breath, but guided by an indelible love of liberty, shouts to the homes of his fellow patriots, The socialists are coming! The socialists are coming! Sound familiar? Well, it should! Perhaps no other calling is as critical as that which rings across this sacred land today. As Obamas minions of socialism attempt to usher in a new era of big government, the so-called welfare of the people has become the new martyr of the truth. The very principles this country were founded upon freedom, hard work, self reliance and personal responsibility are being sacrificed upon the alter on dependency. In essence, the cornerstones of the constitution are being circumvented by the Utopian nonsense of so-called 60s ideologues; aka, hallucinogenic liberalism. Once again, universal health care has become the most recent object of demagoguery in twisting the true definition of rights and discrimination. Of course, as we all know, health care is a need, not a right. Accessibility to health care is a right, but once again, how one fulfills or meets that need, albeit personal resources or charity, is his or her responsibility. Somehow, but more likely by design, liberals seem to have forgotten that by forcibly taking from another citizen their hard earned money, personal property .violates that person's constitutional rights. And yes, you are correct, that is real discrimination. Although a vast number of low-income health clinics are already available to those in need, many of these same Americans still receive and benefit from the quality of private care. And yes, that is not discounting that there is always room from improvement, specifically in the realm of the cost of emergency/surgical care, long term treatment, and the very nature of pre-existing conditions. However, how needed industry regulation translates into the government, the US taxpayer, bearing the burden of universal insurance, rings more hallow than the liberty bell on the shores of Antarctica. Yes, in the cracks of leftist logic youll be led to believe anyone who isnt rich, white, or genetically enhanced is dying; crawling in the streets amidst their incoherent murmurs of socialism. Ironically, that is exactly what could happen if your loved ones life hung in the balance, left only to the cost/benefit guidelines of a government handbook. $5000 hammer, anyone? In other words, watch out for the horse manure, the stench of political propaganda causes brain damage and the inability to vote your true conscience. Luckily, we have Acorn for that.
Not discounting the advantages of freedoms fertilizer, the most blatant inconsistency of socialism is that it is based on the entrails on envy. Though every man and woman is free to pursue the life of their choice, without unnecessary interference from government mind you, there will always be a discrepancy in success and wealth. Socialists therefore seek to lower the bar, the potential of the individual and the nation, in order to supposedly level the playing field; ie, lets do the limbo, because who needs to stand. Subsequently, at the cost of upright mobility, lofty taxes are levied on the upper and middle classes, as well as businesses, as a prelude to redistributing wealth via social programs. Ironically, though still unbeknownst to liberals, this is in direct violation of the very promise and foundation America was built upon. Other than The Communist Manifesto or Mein Kampf, what gives the government, or a power-hungry president for that matter, the right to draw higher duties from one citizen, or a particular economic group, over another? Am I lead to believe if I someday reach a higher level of wealth, that the fruits of my labor are to be siphoned off and given to those who did not earn them? Is that their right or a violation of mine? Am I living in the United States of America? Do businesses that bear the risk of venturing into the competitive world, often at their own financial peril, not have a right to reap the rewards of their efforts? Furthermore, what gives Washington the right to tax one product far more than another? As long as that industry is legally allowed to sell their goods, do they not have a constitutionally protected charter to make a profit? Well, according to the inane logic of our forefathers absolutely. Anything contrary to yes is nothing short of economic discrimination. Just dont tell Obama that, because it is impossible for industrious, responsible, and religious Americans to be discriminated against. It simply doesnt fit the black and white profile of their socialist agenda.
Because socialism rewards success with excessive taxation, while simultaneously providing many with a manageable lifestyle a sofa catering service and a federal coupon for pay-per-view .there is little or no motivation for the indigent to improve their status. Therefore, fewer businesses develop, fewer jobs are created, and the economy becomes mired in a cesspool of stagnation; leaving more and more to depend on Uncle Sam. As we all know, the more power you confide in your keeper, the easier it is for big brother to take away your rights. Thank God for the second amendment and the Three Strikes Law!
Not to disregard its multitude of deficiencies, socialism, simply put, is nothing more than a means to end. Billions are spent annually in providing millions of Americans the necessities of life, with little or no retribution. The money does not create any hope or future for the recipients; it simply patronizes their sense of self as the true nature of their problems fail to be addressed. If the goal of welfare is eliminate the need of its own existence, how does providing for others, what they could and should do for themselves, make the country stronger? Every American, of able body and mind, owes it to themselves, their family, and their country, to maximize their prospects and earn a living. In short, this is the most fundamental creed of our forefathers, also known as capitalism. It is what I like to call, a means to a means.
Sure, we all struggle time to time, and need assistance to pay our monthly bills and put food on the table. A wise and compassionate government should be always assist its citizenry in difficult times. However, this brotherhood is but a stepping stone for people to recompose themselves, to regain control of their life. Instead of spending billions to feed the insatiable hands of dependency, or perhaps more profoundly, apathy, a government should invest in the renewable resource of opportunity. Thus, by fostering greater access to higher education, trade schools, and small business prospects, countless can radically reverse their fortunes, that is, if they dare to try and persevere. Under the auspices of capitalism, properly nurtured and regulated by enlightened leaders, a new generation of doctors, lawyers, engineers, mechanics, teachers, corporations, and private entrepreneurs can thrive. Now those who once struggled to feed their children and pay their rent can enjoy a much higher standard of living; a house, a more reliable automobile, and yes, even their own basic needs such as health care.
That very same money that was once forever lost in a never ending cycle of civil reliance, is transcended into a paradigm of growth; and ironically, now doesnt cost the government one more cent. With more disposable income available, more money is pumped into the economy; meaning larger profits, new businesses, and more quality jobs. It is this competitive nature of the American entrepreneur that has lead to the development of revolutionary new technologies that have infiltrated every facet of our lives; from life-saving medical breakthroughs, to scientific discoveries to conserve energy and protect the environment, and even the genesis of new products that help keep our loved ones safe. The promise of capitalism has inspired an unprecedented wave of philanthropy as a laundry list of those villainous corporations and greedy private individuals have given millions to our educational institutions, medical facilities, and vital charities; funds that otherwise would have been depleted by the restrictive tentacles of socialism. Yes, man is born free, but everywhere he is in chains. Rock On, Jacque, but I still hate snails! Vive a liberty!
Without a doubt, capitalism has served as the greatest catalyst for the proliferation of wealth and power in America that has accrued for over two hundred years; an influence and quality of life that is superior to any socialist and/or communist country in the world. It is the one economic philosophy that is most in line with who we are as a people. It speaks to our historic disdain of intrusive government, while feeding our incessant drive to achieve that which few could fathom to protect and appreciate the mere opportunity to reach our potential. I have never been wealthy, I do not feel slighted or owed by my government, and I thank God everyday knowing that I bask in the blessings of freedom; for without freedom, there would be no fork in the road, only the crumbled remnants of desiccated dreams in a journey of self-realization. I am my own keeper.
In the face of such overwhelming common sense, but more succinctly, truth, Obama and his liberal disciples will revert to their tried and blue tactics of demagoguery. They will attack the messenger, their personal shortcomings, to divert from the immutable power of the message. They will admonish capitalism as the religion of rich, racist, white men, when in reality it is a bridge the civility of opportunity . that has caused millions to flee for our shores with nothing more than the clothes on their back. It is the very seed that has sown the imagination of generations of children, of all ethnicities, social classes and creeds, to dream of being an athlete, a singer, an actress, a doctor, a police officer, a soldier, or a president. Yet, despite the pathetic politics of personal destruction and diversion, Obama cannot avoid one inescapable reality, one inexcusable truth; he is a socialist. HE is a socialist! Nothing else would violate more the very breathe that our forefathers drew, the sacrifice of their brethren, in creating this fabled republic we call America. Capitalism is freedom, freedom is your right, your rights are protected by the constitution which was fathered by men much more learned, patriotic, and wise than Barack Obama. After all, if you dont love your child, how can you have its best interests at heart?
