Are you contemplating a run for the vacant Massachusetts Senate seat?
Ive thought about it.
Most dread the idea of campaigning and debating - the fight.
The fight would be fun. The whole spotlight/media crap, not so much. But the fight would be a lot of fun, because pretty much anyone youre fighting against whos in office right now doesnt have much of a leg to stand on. Theres nobody who can stand up and say, Look at what Ive done over the last two, four, six, eight, 12, 20 years. Because those are the people who the pitchforks and torches are out for.

New Curt interview.
Wow! This is a shock! Schilling has always been so quiet and reserved.
Hey, I wouldn’t care if his big mouth made him a certain one-termer. The timing couldn’t be better for us to have one more vote in the Senate.

Ping to baseball fan FRiends... Note that there are several new "Schilling might run for Kennedy's seat in MA" threads on FR. Do a "Titles" search on "Schilling" to see them all.

Shilling may have a shot to pull it off in Mass, especially since the Dem poll numbers nationally are going into the toilet.
Jackie MacMullin on Around the Horn says he doesn’t have a chance. That means he does.
Major league World Series pitchers make good Senators.
They already are used to fame, used to have every little thing they do on the mound watched by millions, and then performing and winning.
