Be less obviously productive. No overtime this year. Continue to liquidate and hide assets. Work off the books whenever possible. Increase tax-deductions. Put more pre-tax money into investment vehicles.

Gee, I wonder what the bill will contain when it comes back from conference? And how long members will have to read and analyze it before being forced to vote on it?

More true than you may think once the inflation from the takeover of GM and the financial industries fully impacts the economy and the effects of trillion dollars per year in the red are factored in. Then your typical $40k a year for a household will be inflated to about the level the socialists say makes you “rich”. If we made $250K or over, I'd pick up a few truly needy dependents rather than let the fascists in Washington take my earnings to buy votes from the "wanting", lazy, government dependents.
I'd do everything I could to avoid paying the bills for the democrat base. ( Stop feeding them, and they'll find their own jobs quick enough.)
