Sister in law owns a nice Buick and has been talking about selling it because she does not approve of the government owning GM. And she’s not even the political one in the family.

I bought from Ford just for that reason. Great car.

I'm a very happy Ford stockholder. I bought the stock the week Ford announced they would not take bailout money.

I wouldn’t have bought a GM or Chrysler even before the bailout due to bad histories with both. However the takeover of the companies by the UAW isn't going to convince me the quality and workmanship is going to get any better. Fords or US built Japanese cars are the best option for now, and the sales numbers prove that.

I love that Edge. Too pricey for me right now (one in college) but that little cross over is sweet.

Damn right Ford is being rewarded by consumers. Hell we bought GM and Chrysler twice! Why would we buy a car we already owe billions too the company in bailouts forced on us? DUH

Ford should rename some of their models to take advantage of their status as the last, non state owned, American automaker.
How about the Ford:
Patriot
Entrepreneur
Capitalist
Constitution
Freedom
Responsibility

The Raptor is out now. I saw one 3 days ago. Nice looking truck.

That is a stroke of genius. Seriously they ought to capitalize on this. I can see the slogans.
Ford Patriot F150 truck .... backbone of America.
Ford Capitalist Luxury Sedan .... back in style, back in command.
Ford Freedom 4X4 SUV .... taking you everywhere you want to be.
