Fifty-seven Percent (57%) Now Oppose War in Afghanistan

Fifty-seven Percent (57%) now oppose the war in Afghanistan. The biggest change has come from Democrats. Almost three quarters of Democrats now oppose the war. Perhaps Americans sense a lack of commitment from President Obama. Shadow Government had this to say, "There are few things more toxic for effective civil-military relations in wartime than the military believing that their political commanders are not serious about seeing the conflict through to a successful conclusion."

I cannot and will not support 0BAMA’S WAR.
He is fundamentally weak on national defense. He needs to just stop pretending he isn’t.
Then we can all say what we already know to be true.

Afghanistan doesn’t need military action, it needs community action.
Pull out the troops and airdrop all of 0bama’s community organizers in.
That would instantly make both countries more democratic.

It means absolutely nothing. The left worships Obama too much to do anything to oppose his Afghan policy. Ironically, Obama’s closest allies are the conservatives. Only they can make a difference.

Well said. Only conservatives can stop Obama’s war. Will they do it instead of continuing to cover his ass?

What is his strategy? He's already said he doesn't believe in "victory?" So why are we fighting?

I get so outrageously p*ssed when I read about LBJ refusing to allow our bombers to take out AA batteries and SAM missile site UNDER CONSTRUCTION for fear of hitting the precious Soviets. I suspect we have more of the same here.

Ok....lets now do what the Dem’s wanted. Bring our soldiers home....we need them here. We need these young bright men and women here to run for every political office in the country. State and National elections....send these friggin’ loons home.

I’m anti-war now because these humpty-dumpties are going to get our young men killed for no reason. They have already said, “We don’t want wars to be spoken of in terms of ‘winning’ and ‘losing’”. (shudder)
Bring him home, as Jean Valjean sang so eloquently in Les Miserables.

I’m only an armchair General, but IMHO, we should fight the war, fight it with overwhelming and unrelenting force, and fight to win the damn thing.. Or, get our people out of there, now.

We can’t win a war with Obama and his cowards in power.... they will just spend our money and get our Troops killed.

Obama can surrender this war publicly, instead of through the back door, playing political games, while getting our Troops killed.

Thanks to killing our intelligence agencies, such as the CIA, Obama has already doomed us to failure.

I hate that bastard, Obama. He needs to be IMPEACHED.

Well we either finish off the Islamic extremists now or do it later. Me I would rather do now. These people will not go away just because we pull out of Afghanistan.

I cannot and will not support 0BAMA’S WAR.

I'm coming to feel the same way, although I profoundly want to defeat the Islamofascists wherever they are. Obama has appointed a general who sounds a lot more like a social worker than a real general, a "man" whom Grant, Lee, Patton, Marshal, Pershing, or Forest would immediately remove from the service, one who favors creating instant sanctuaries where the Taliban can run whenever they are pressed by U.S. forces. Other rules of engagement prevent any effective interrogation. This has created a guaranteed meat grinder, death on the installment plan trap for our brave soldiers, marines, and airmen, a trap the America hating Illegal Alien wants to see them in. That being the case, the only reasonable thing to do is either impeach the Illegal Alien (the far better, but unlikely, course) or to save the lives and honor of our service people by withdrawing them and fighting the war on a minimal basis from a distance, as George Will has recommended. The Illegal Alien must not be allowed to murder, in willful complicity with the Taliban and Islamofascists, any more of our fine service people, none of whom should be commanded by that evil, degraded, traitorous piece of human filth.

How can you sit here, safe in the homeland, and tell our troops in Afghanistan that you don't support their actions.

The Taliban harbored Al Queda (have you forgotten 9/11) and they must be destroyed.

I support our troops and their actions even if we have a change in President.

I support our troops, which is why I oppose 0BAMA’S WAR.
He is sending our troops into battle with no purpose, no plan, and no exit strategy, and that is only going to get them killed. Already, under 0bama’s ‘leadership’, last month was the deadliest month for US troops in Afghanistan since the war began nearly 8 years ago, and under his ‘leadership’ the situation has spun out of control.

You need to wake up and see what 0bama is doing.
Our troops are now just political pawns for him.
This is about him proving he’s “tough” that he’s going to “fight the right war.”

This isn’t about our troops or our security for him.
This is about politics and justifying his campaign demagoguery.

The appropriate action for our military in Afghanistan is to leave country, and burn the poppy fields and bomb the camps and little infrastructure that is there. Civilized people will never have any use for Afghanistan, therefore, Afghanistan will never be civilized. It is and always will be nothing more than a haven for outlaws. We should be ensuring that they can never get a foothold there again to organize a terror network. Trying in vain to build a ‘society’ is not going to accomplish that. It is only providing them with the resources and tools they need.

Can you imagine the message people like you are sending.

Its like telling our troops you hope they die.

No, you idiot. It’s the exact opposite.
I know someone who is going back to Afghanistan early next year for his 3rd tour of duty.
It’s different there now under this president.
It is far more dangerous now and no longer has a purpose other than boosting 0bama’s politics.
Everyone in the military knows this.
