From One Losing Debate To Another

The president is in big trouble. He continues to approach a moment of truth. He had better get control of his presidency or he might see it spin out of control and not recover. The month of August couldn't have gone any worse. Town hall protesters picked apart the bill and citizens made vocal display of their dissatisfaction with the bill. The administration picked a fight with Sarah Palin and suddenly the president was trying to convince the public his bill "won't kill grand ma". He was telling everyone the public option would merely add competition. At the same time, Barney Frank and Anthony Weiner were telling people it would lead to single payer. The administration floated the idea that the bill might not include the public option and liberals immediately said 100 house votes would be lost without it. Then, Senator Conrad proclaimed it won't pass in the Senate if the public option is in the bill. His own popularity as well as the popularity of the bill itself cratered.

Grassley, Enzi, and Snowe are already trying to save Obamacare.

It WILL create competition!

COMPETITION WITH YOUR NEIGHBOR FOR RATIONED MEDICAL SERVICES!

If you start with nothing, and demand 100 percent, then compromise for 30 percent, then you are 30 percent ahead,” Alinsky wrote.

Exactly right. In selling an item, you ask for more than you actually want, so you give the buyer ‘leeway’ in negotiating the price. Knowing all along you would have taken less to start with. Obama does that on ALL issues. We are outraged at ‘how much’ they are asking and demanding. All the while he didn’t really want ‘all’ he was asking for, just part of it. Or 30%. He still wins. WE NEED TO SAY LEAVE ALL OF HEALTHCARE ALONE. Remember he only wants to get his foot in the door. He knew all along he would not ‘immediately’ be able to takeover all of the healthcare system. But in ‘increments’.....he’s not looking for the total takeover, oh, if he got great, but he wasn’t expecting that. He just wants the FIRST increment (baby step) to the government takeover of healthcare.

That’s not just alinsky. SNL got their most raunchy material through using the same technique.

Oh, I think we can count on more from the RINO side; especially the Senate. Not a large number, but there are a few we can count on to vote to betray America.

well at least we didn’t have another 9-11 type attack though, from the perspective of 0bambi and his marxist advisers, an attack would have been a good thing. a few thousand dead americans is a small price to pay for a good crisis to abuse in order to redefine america in their eyes.

Enzi did the Rep address this weekend and he was very firmly against the current bill. I don’t think he’ll sign onto anything like what’s being debated now.

I was surprised to see his name on Triple E's list, thinking him pretty much against what's in the House. But I figured Triple E may have some information I've not seen...
