Saying “I hope you go out of business” isn’t a threat. I saw it about the NYT often enough. It’s petty and thin-skinned for him to say it though.
I wouldn’t characterize it as a “threat,” myself. But it was less than astute, shall we say, to give the largest newspaper in the state such an opening.
Hubris: 1. the pride associated with arrogance; pride considered as sin.
Oh yeah. It’s plenty stupid. I guess some cracks are beginning to show under pressure.
