Former DHS secretary Tom Ridge exposed himself as a weasel nearly two weeks ago when he allowed his publisher to gin up bogus book buzz with a false claim about the Bush administration pressuring him to alter homeland security alerts for political purposes.

As a Pennsylvanian from the “rural T”, I knew Ridge was a weaselly RINO from the start. He may have run under the Republican banner, but you can’t support every initiative of the eco-wackos (green on the outside, red in the middle) and truly support smaller government and lower taxes. As governor, Ridge created or expanded all the programs the environmentalists that in practice either restricted use of private land or took it out of private hands altogether.
