The London Times has a shocking article in which new details are discovered regarding the release of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber.

The British government decided it was “in the overwhelming interests of the United Kingdom” to make Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, eligible for return to Libya, leaked ministerial letters reveal.

Gordon Brown’s government made the decision after discussions between Libya and BP over a multi-million-pound oil exploration deal had hit difficulties. These were resolved soon afterwards.

Mr. Libya: “I’m sorry Mr. BP, we seem to be at a deadlock over these oil leases.”

Mr. BP: “Well, Mr. Libya, how would it strike you if I could obtain the release of your most famous mass-murdering terrorist Mr. Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi? Would that be satisfactory?”

Mr. Libya: “Ah. You mean al-Megrahi the killer of 180 Americans, 50 Brits, and 40 others? Why yes, I think that might be a suitable incentive to move forward.”

Mr. BP” “Well, very good sir. I shall recommend his release post haste. Now, may I have another cup of tea please?”

The Brits will either revolt, or they will cease to be a nation of free men.

In a sane world, this would bring down the pathetic Gordon Brown government. In this world, who knows?
