Woah!... This was the scene outside Rep. Jim Moran's town hall meeting on Tuesday night.

Today's Hope and Change... Officer Cheeks tells some town hall protesters to put away their signs or he'll "charge them with trespassing or whatever he wants."

Search Google for Wesley Cheeks and some you tube videos come up. Search Google News and nothing comes up. I guess news agency don’t think this is worthwhile.

I was interested in seeing if there had been any reprimands or potential lawsuits.

The so called “officer” is not FCPD...he is a Fairfax County School Security Officer.

If this happened Tuesday why is it just now coming out and why have we not heard that the guy is fired and ACLU is doing what it usually does.

Why isn’t some freakin atty taking this case on a big fat contingency fee?

The other thread indicates he may not be a cop. I need to watch the video again..I could have sworn that was a cop uniform. Would like to get a screen shot. I think I know how to do it but won’t be able to until later.

I’ve never seen a school security uniform with a large badge like “cheeks” had, which leads me to believe he was a cop. They’re not suppose to look like cops for reasons..at least that’s my understanding. In my experience if they had a badge, it was small.

I won't bother you with the tales I had to put up with 30 years ago when I was the straightest kid in the world working a late-night job, getting threatened by coked-up Fairfax County cops. I'd rather live in North Korea than Fairfax County. I have to visit my elderly Mom there and it is depressing.

Most Fairfax County police officers wear gray shirts, but I have seen shirts this color before. He appears to be an actual officer.

For what it's worth, I did read on other websites that Cheeks is actually part of the "School Security Officer Team" and not an actual police officer. In fact, it seems that the FFX County Police Department has gone out of its way to state (rather emphatically from what I've seen) that Wesley Cheeks is NOT an officer.

You can seeone individual in that photo wearing what appears to be the same shirt, though due to poor lighting in the Cheeks video I can't tell if the badges and insignias are the same. I'm at least glad to hear he's not an officer.

For what it's worth, 99% of the time officers will be wearing gray shirts like you see in those pictures.
