Obama's Cash For Clunkers: Dealers Reporting Cars Stolen By Consumers (1st Accepted-Later Rejected)
Consumer Affairs ^

Posted on 08/24/2009 2:33:31 PM PDT by MaxCUA

A coalition of consumer groups is calling on the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to ensure, as the agency winds down the Cash for Clunkers program, that dealers are not "double-dipping" and getting paid twice -- once by their customers and again by the government. During the past several weeks, the rejection rate for Cash for Clunkers transactions has hovered around 80 percent.

Many dealers jumped the gun and entered into a high volume of contracts in July, before the rules governing the program were issued and before any deals were approved. Since then, the program has been overwhelmed, causing delays in payments to dealers.

I bet there are plenty of people in Kenya that refer to him as “Odingus”

By federalizing medical care, your malpractice case will never get heard!

No. The Trial Lawyers would not allow that.

The trial lawyers imagine that once health care is federalized they'll continue to have access to state courts on cases involving individual physicians.

That's not the way it's worked out anywhere else in the world!

Is it mostly socialist beleivers who “bought” these cars do you think? If so, they will blame the evil business man who sold them the car. If not, they will be kicking themselves for getting their property anywhere near fascist thugs. If they are city Blacks, it will all be a rasis experience.

Anyway, someone is learning a lesson here and that is good. The gimme car dealers will learn to keep their hands in their pocket when fascists come offering free walking around money and gimme guys and gals will learn free stuff is usually not. I hope a lot of college students with to campus with no car this semester.

Its possible. I just think they’ll do whatever it takes to preserve their incomes. Maybe they’ll start suing defense contractors for filling orders during Vietnam.....

Nope. It's people with an old set of wheels who found the $3500-4500 a good reason to trade, or they were going to trad soon and this advanced the deal. I don't see how a political stripe can be assigned to this.

They THOUGHT it was a great idea to line up for free stuff at my expense. However, now they are finding out that when they partner with the government, they have joined hands with a rip off artist. See the ponzi scheme called social security which preceeded the no cash for your clunkers.
