"Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House," she said on MSNBC's "The Countdown" with Keith Olbermann Thursday evening. "This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that."
Janeane Garofalo received much criticism regarding her comments about the teaparty movement. Some even tried to figure out why she could say something so idiotic on national TV. Could it be that she was so unworldly that she couldn't comprehend what the tea parties were about? Thankfully, the comedienne/actress has given us a new hint to what drives her to making irrational comments. I am no psychiatrist but it sounds like she has incurred some damage to her brain via a leak of brain fluid. Either that or the Stupid fairy moved into her house.
She is no longer 100% sure that those who go to tea parties are racists:
"Do you remember tea baggers?" Garofalo said. "It was just so much easier when we could just call them racists. I just don't know why we can't call them racists, or functionally retarded adults."

I dunno...I still might try that on a bad night.
Imagine being that sort of bitter, nasty thing inside and out. It has to be harsh for someone who started out as a marginally attractive, negligibly talented actress wannabee to know that they're never going to make it any other way than to be a disagreeable harpy.
We'd all be bitter if we had to spew ever-increasing amounts of verbal garbage, in a vain attempt to have any meaning in our lives.
Just imagine how hard it would be to go all those years thinking that people wanted to hear you 'cause you were smart, only to find out it was because you were kinda/sorta cute in that awkward, nerd-girl way.
And then the cute faded, you're on the wrong side of 40, and you discover that your "talent" never really existed.
Just think of how hard we'd have to struggle for relevance, meaning, and a little bit of publicity if any of us looked like we'd been rode hard and put away wet and no one wants to listen to our broken down, dim-witted ravings anymore.
Bless her little heart.
who is holding that sign?!
ILLEANA DOUGLAS
the granddaughter of screen legends Melvyn Douglas and Helen Gahagan (defeated by Richard M. Nixon in a bitter 1950 Senate race in California. Nixon hinted that she was a fellow traveler, citing as evidence her supposed Communist-leaning votes in Congress. He referred to her as “the Pink Lady”, and said that she was “pink right down to her underwear.” )
“imagine a world without Janeane Garofalo...”
