What I DO need is a rapid, pointed source of single-signup health insurance at a reasonable cost. Getting this info could in turn change the minds of a lot of people re: ObamaCare.
Aetna, Humana, BlueCross BlueShield, United Health. They all offer single/private health insurance. They always did, even with pre-existing conditions.
Almost every state has a “high risk” pool that provides insurance. In my state you have to show that you have been refused by a private insurance company (presumably for preexisting conditions). Last time I checked the premium for a $1500-$2000 deductible was a few hundred a month - depending on the age. So if the person doesn’t have luck with one of the private insurers, this can help.
Tell them to call a licensed health insurance agent and put the agent to work for them the more independent the agent the better you can find insurance even with preexisting conditions I did.

Just heard about this plan on Larry Kudlow’s radio show.
If your GF lives in Georgia, this might be the answer.
Among other real reforms, conservatives should push for the freedom to purchase out-of-state health insurance.
BCBS recently sent out a pamphlet on a new, even less expensive plan called Healthy Blue.
I don't know what state the man in question lives in, but this plan is available in several.
Watch. You’ll let them know how they can get it but the premium will always be “a little too high”.
We live in Colorado, had to get insurance for my spouse whose business closed and therefore Cobra wasn’t an option.
I logged into Synergy - I gave them information to get quotes and we had 5 emails and 1 phone call within 15 minutes. We were going to add him to my plan but it was expensive so his own plan will run anywhere from 200-350 per month depending on the deductable we choose.
Hope that helps.
