Tata CEO Ratan Tata said that his company could modify a European version of the Nano to meet U.S. safety standards within three years.
The biggest change would be making the micro-car meet rear-crash safety standards for the U.S.
Ever since Tata first announced plans to sell a $2,500 car for its home market of India, many have been asking when it will get a version of the pint-size ride.
Where the hell are those Nader’s Raiders guys?
These micro-sized cars should automatically come with a deducation in insurance costs since the car automatically doubles as a casket.

no thanks to this kiddie car...give us a break
Cant’ wait to see the YouTube videos of these things getting hit by SUVs.
If they bring em here, my dad the cheapskate will buy one for sure. He won’t be able to resist. Then he’ll have a car to match his Chinese motor scooter, which he adores and takes everywhere.
Bodacious
No thanks, I would rather walk.
Sorry. I don’t want to get beat up by my other co-workers. Riding the bus is way cooler’ than driving that 4 wheeled billboard that says “I’m a pu**y”
Silly looking little thing, but perfect for navigating city streets and tight parking spaces. Especially perfect if you live downtown and don’t have to commute out to the ‘burbs every day.
I’d have no choice but to walk.... I wouldn’t fit LOL. People in India must be tiny LOL
Well someone had to say it.
beat me to it
I’m sure some dealer will jump on that advertising line
Hell is precisely where those idiots belong.
My friend Moo is about 6’6” and 230 pounds. Not a small Indian.
Well the heck with the PC stuff, keep your SUV or buy a good pair of walking shoes. LOL
my fourteen yr old son would not be able to fit one of his size fourteen shoes in this to use it as a roller skate. it looks like a glorified golf cart.
Holy cow!
wow, I would like to see him get in that car LOL, it would be a clown car of one!

how about one of these for in-town travel ?
