Here is video of Fox News' Shepherd Smith grilling White House Spokesman Bill Burton on the shifting positions of the White House on whether a "Public Option" is a "must" or just "preferred" as part of his Health Care Plan.
Burton tried to say no shifting has been going on, but Smith cited MSNBC and their far-left pundits being angry last night at the shifting language of administration officials on the issue.
Burton at one point said, "you don't need to have me on your show" if you are going to talk over me.
Shepherd Smith - drama queen that he is - seemed angry himself that Obama may be vacillating on having a public option, saying it appears Obama is changing because the Republicans are talking about "Death Panels," which Smith said is definitely "not true."
Smith said that President Obama previously said that he would not sign a bill that does not have a public option, but that now he says it is "not essential."
My take at this point is that Obama is using muddled language because he wants to keep his options open. He wants to pass something. If he thinks he can get the "Public Option" he will push for it. If he decides he does not have the votes, he will follow the "it is not essential" path.
Either way, he intends to pass some kind of Health Care bill to get the foot in the door for eventual total Government takeover of Health Care. Conservatives must not let their guard down if Obama comes forward with something that does not have a "Public Option." That will not mean he is not putting something in place that will inevitably grow into total Socialized Medicine.
"The leopard has not changed its spots." Obama wants Socialized Medicine and he's going to take what he can get to move America down that road. . . . (Watch Video)
The list, ping
I don’t like Shep, but that was a good segment.
Shep needs to go work for NBC/MSNBC
“Either way, he intends to pass some kind of Health Care bill to get the foot in the door for eventual total Government takeover of Health Care.”
He intends to pass a bill for eventual total takeover of Government by insurers. That is what this bill is, Super Romney Care.
The public option confusion was to keep critics off target. It was something that was always going to be snatched away.
Yeah, I'm thinking of starting my own Fox boycott...No more Fox until that smarmy little piece of puffery has been shipped out to MSNBC.
Every time Burton goes up against Fox News, he gets his rear handed to him.
I don’t watch Shep anymore. He is a silly man.
I stopped watching when he signed that promo deal with Revlon.
Why? Because he wears Maybelline or some other brand?
Shepard Gay? What’s he got to say?
No more Fox until that smarmy little piece of puffery has been shipped out to MSNBC.
^^^
I hear you. How about Geraldo, too?
There, fixed it for you.
He already does.................
From what I heard it seems that ole Shep is mad because Shep supports the public option!
