She could have a learning disability. I did/do. I can work through the stuff but it takes me a bit longer. Add the pressure and I would have been hard pressed to come up with the $7.50 to figure out how many quarters.

Anything but math is a breeze for me. That’s what calculators, scrap paper and fingers are for.

I have a PhD in engineering. I can do calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, statistics and design of experiments.

But I have ALWAYS had trouble with arithmetic.

Go figure :)
