Time to boycott the boycotters of Glenn Beck
The Patriot Room ^ | August 16, 2009 | Clyde Middleton

I am amazed at the economic audacity of these companies: Geico (owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway), Procter & Gamble, Sargento Cheese, and Progressive Insurance. Apparently, Men's Warehouse has also joined the group of wusses.

Not a problem. We already *don’t* use their products.

Especially that damn lizard.

They should’ve been dumped a long time ago!! The head of Progressive has been a huge ‘Rat funder for years.

They are not benign. Do not do any business with them.

Geico and Sargento cheese may be worth writing a letter to.

Yea. I inherited them with a business and it just wasn't a priority.

Got it and will do. The only one I can eliminate is Proctor products. I do not do biz with the others.

I just sent this to Men's Wearhouse. I hope the rest of you can do the same.

"It has come to my attention that you intend to boycott advertising on the Fox New's The Glenn Beck show. This is a shame, because I now have to boycott YOU as a store that I give my business to. You see, two can play this game and now that I know you as a liberal supporting company I will NO LONGER SPEND ONE THIN DIME in ANY of your stores. You see, you should have just kept your mouths shut and remembered that you service not only liberals but conservatives too. I hope you enjoy me taking my dollars to your competitors. Have fun with your boycott though. I am looking forward to seeing how it works out for you."

We’ve got to band together against these pressure groups, or we’ll lose our freedom of speech. They don’t care two cents about our rights.

Men's Warehouse would not carry Limbaugh's ties because they disagreed with his views, at least that is what their salesman told me.

I’m with progressive but i have a claim in arbitration...I can’t dump them until they win my case for me...now wouldn’t be a good time

but honestly i can’t believe that advertisers don’t do this for keith olberman or when david letterman made raunchy comments about Palin...why didn’t the advertisers leave??

but we need a large coalition to show these idiots that if your going to try to appease one side your just going to lose the rest of us

ultimately making it worse for them....screw them to hell is what I say

What “exactly” did Beck say? I worked for one of these companies and my wife worked for 2 of them and is still employed at one of them. They had great profit sharing plans and benefits. Most of my co workers were white collar Republicans. So before we put more jobs in jeopardy, WTF did Beck say, that caused the sponsors to withdraw? How far over the line did he go? Exact words please. Can it be any worse than anything Oberman has to say?

Watch what they are referring to. Beck called Obama a racist.

Here's a better version. Longer and with Beck's explanation.

What “exactly” did Beck say? I just came from Glenn's website and there is nothing there about sponsors pulling the plug. NADA, ZIP. Before I get hyped up on this, I'd like to hear Glenn's take.

Played the reference above your response, typical cut off sound bite. They cut it off while he wasn’t finished speaking. I see this often on Hannity too. He’ll play a Libs comment and it is cut off before the sentence ends. I will not get too excited over this, it sounds too extreme.

As Gerbils (not the furry rat types) proved during WWII, The weak minded lead and the strong suffer simply because the weak join together and the strong stand on their own and are picked off “1 by 1” until there is no opposition.
