I for one, wouldn’t do this ... It sounds like a really bad idea, even if legal.

I’ve tried watching Matthews on a couple of occasions. Usually I make it about 10 minutes before I’m yelling at the TV for him to shut up and let the other guy speak. People who can make it through an entire hour have a stronger stomach than I have.

Actually, the answer should have been that he wanted to be sure he was safe from Union Thugs since he had seen videos of people getting attacked at similar events. What would/could Mathews have said about that?

Chris is long overdue for an on air open handed slap in the face.

New Hampshire is an open carry state. People routinely attend sessions of the Legislature with sidearms while they watch from the gallery.

This is really bad PR and even worse thinking. Did this clown not think there would be a metal detector?

I completely agree with Mr. Kostric. We have the right to keep and BARE arms, yet we don't. If we want to keep our rights, we have to use them. I'm just happy as hell Mr. Kostric knew what the heck he was talking about. I'm glad it was a man who knew history, was well spoken and did not allow himself to get worked up and tell Chris to STFU... as I would have.

He didn’t bring a gun to the townhall. The Secret Service never would have let him in. He was outside and down the street. The police had no problem with him, the Secret Service had no problem with him, the State of New Hampshire had not problem with him - but Chris Matthews? Well.
