Look, this is the deal. The interview is legit, it created a big furor on this forum at the time and I'm pretty sure there were even audio links to the Spanish questions and her answers, because I remember hearing those too.
Now whether or not the phrase "a path to citizenship" makes your skin crawl - and it does mine, because my sense has always been that it's codespeak for amnesty - is one issue.
But to put fingers in your ears and say "Lalalala" is just plain dumb. Make whatever you want of it, but she SAID this, you people.

The phrase “a path to citizenship” does make my skin crawl.
She needs to explain it. To her credit, it is inconsistant with nearly everything else she has said.
Was she forced into it by the McCain people? I would buy that, but I’ve got to hear it from her.
Until then I’m a bit reserved about her.

I’m not getting It guess. I guess some folks here wanted her to say” No one else can come to this country. There is no such thing as legal immigration. No more workers permits, no more green cards. Wanna come to America like the rest of our forefathers did, SOL.” and this political message has been approved by Barack Obama!
