A PATH to citizenship is not amnesty .. it’s a path, a way to get there.

I never supported McCain, didn’t support him in the election, he is a total shill. I just hope the Neo Cons don’t co opt the anti Obama movement to get Romney or Gingrich or heaven forbid Jindal elected.

There is a system in place for a “pathway to citizenship”. It’s called applying for American citizenship in your home country, then coming over when it’s granted.

If Sarah Palin is for amnesty for illegal aliens then I will NOT support her for public office.

We need to move on from her she is another Huck McRomney..

My take on this...

This is two weeks before the election.

She had to have the same answer has McCain.

I would suggest the question should be asked again in 2009?

Sarah Palin finally came out and made her stance on illegal immigration clear. She is pro amnesty for illegal aliens. In an interview to Univision she stated unequivocally that she is for a pathway to citizenship. In the same interview she says she is against amnesty for illegal aliens. Have your cake and eat it to, I think that is called.

How do you come to your conclusion (in blue) based upon what she stated (in red?)

I believe the "pathway" to which she referred is called naturalization. I'm sticking with the red pill thank you and WILL be voting for Palin.

I'm as big a fan of Sarah as anyone, but when she, like just about everyone else in this debate says that it's "inhumane" to send illegals back I want to tear my hair out. WHAT EXACTLY IS INHUMANE ABOUT TELLING SOMEONE WHO KNOWINGLY CAME HERE ILLEGALY, AND REMAINS HERE ILLEGALY, THAT THEY HAVE TO GO BACK TO THEIR RIGHTFUL HOME? AARGH! We're not talking about forced labor, or prison camps, or even monetary fines....Just go back to your RIGHTFUL HOME, and if you want to come back in, do it the right way!

There is alredy a “pathway” to citizenship. Go home and apply for citizenship.

The end.

No need for anything else.

Unless I hear/see it on a video straight from her lips to my ears I won’t believe it.

This is either BS or she's flip-flopped.

Palin supports a path to citizenship, but no amnesty for illegals. (Oct 2008)

I also support a path to citizenship for undocumented people. That path is:
1. leave the country on their own dime ASAP
2. apply for some work VISA to the US
3. if successful with #2 then apply for a green card
4. wait the 5 years required to be a citizen

Does anybody have a problem with my view? - you shouldn’t

How are you to know that the path I lay out is not what Sarah has in mind?

An interview during last years campaign? I would be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. Everyone knows McCain’s position and she was representing him on the campaign trail.

Old info, and she was McAmnesty’s running mate. What does she say now? We don’t know, but we need to find out.

Amnesty = Left wing power infinitum. No way Sarah can be for that.

I think I’ll wait for Palin to express her McCain-free opinion on amnesty, thank you very much. Come on, this was back in 2008 during the campaign. This is so much disingenuous BS.

From October of last year, means nothing. Stay tuned and you’ll hear what she really things rather than getting information through some third-rate blogger.

The rinos and romneybots are going to try and cross conflate legal immigration (a path to citizenship) with amnesty. Sarah supports the former, opposes the latter. Libtards want to divide us.

Anyone who doesn’t see through this article has sh** for brains. This article is from 2008, they were trying to discredit her as a VP candidate. The number of idiots on this thread screeching about this just proves that many FReepers are as brain dead as the average liberal.
