If youre serious about pursuing an extended education in science, you may want to set your sights on one of the U.S. campuses that have been identified as having the best science graduate programs. In April, US News&World Report released the results of their 3-year study that ranked the best science schools in the nation.
Rankings were based on the results of surveys sent to academics in computer science, mathematics, and physics during the fall of 2007, in biological sciences and chemistry during fall 2006, and in other fields during fall 2005. The individuals rated the quality of the program at each institution from "marginal" (1) to "outstanding" (5). The schools with the highest average scores among those who rated them were the sorted in descending order and published.

As we all know however, it's one thing to have an education in science - and another thing to be able to apply the science you've learned and communicate it to others. So, based on those criteria, who among these top 10 universities really "knows" their science? That's a great question, on one that we here at Scientific Blogging are eager to find out. Stay tuned...

If you want a Christian college with an excellent biological science department that hasn’t sold out to Darwin, try Bryan College in Dayton, TN. The professors really mentor the students as well as demand the best from them.
Forgot to add - Christian college with excellent computer science is Hope College in Michigan; I don’t think you can beat Grove City College in physics or engineering.
That “comment” has been true for large percentage of officers I observed during my military career.......prior enlisted were the best yet not the only source of “the best”.....as stated 90 day wonders, and academy grads, albeit rare, who were outstanding officers and leaders out of the chute were out there.
Stanford.......# 1 . Wow !
Hitler's Gift to AstronomySee, Adolph wasn't all bad. He liked babies and puppies too.
By 3:00pm I'm *normally* off FR and jamming to BB King, Muddy Waters, or Eric Clapton music (thank God for the Internet). And 5:30pm is dinner time ;-)
