Older Americans are telling Democrats and Obama to keep hands off their health care. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Leader Harry Reid may not be aware of it yet, but these folks who have been around long time can still call a sham when they see it.

But Democrats ain't seen nuthin" yet; its really going to hit the fan in August when they have to face angry elders at town meetings. For those elders who voted for Obama, buyers remorse has set in big time.

But, but...the AARP backs it 100%! In the new Obama cartel society, the AARP speaks on behalf of all seniors.

The Democrats pushing Obamacare are pushing Government Deathcare for everyone 55 and over. Those 55 and over should give all Democrats on the ballot for the next twenty elections the death penalty.

Dennis Moore 3rd district rep from Kansas conveniently isn’t going to do any town halls in August. Imagine that! I doubt that that will work very well for him however!

With due respect, I'm not convinced seniors will be opposed to this. They were more than glad to get Bush's socialist drug program. I even had to argue with my own patriotic SO against it. She though it was okay since her own parents benefited.

And that is always the problem. If the new socialist program benefits you or loved ones, then it's okay. What a fight we had.

hes very big on groups because groups raise funds and get out the vote. healthcare, saving unions and even forcing unionization are all designed to keep the votes coming and not for the peoples benefit. color me cynical but any good is incidental because his eyes and the dems as a party are on being in power forever.

Remember Dan Rostenkowski running from a herd of elders who were seeking to tear him apart? That was in 1986, when the Congress tried to pass a catastrophic insurance bill. This is much worse...

Come on, wadda you old folks complaining about? Don't you know the democRATS "love" you old people? Obama DEATH CARE is wonderful! Besides, all you old and infirm folks have got to clear the playing field for the Obamessiahs legions of up and coming liberal generations.

What did you think was going to happen? YOU senior citizens overwhelmingly voted Obamessiah into power, YOU voted the democRATS into power in the house and senate. YOU wanted "hope" and "change" and sought it from a man that you knew was a socialist, marxist, anti-American, "Afro-centric", "Reverand Wright" black racist whos best friends are domestic terrorists.

Now that the democRATS are in TOTAL power and "in control" you need to do as your told; support Obama DEATH Care and OBEY the Obamessiah! So shut up, lie down, take this pill and DIE so that Obama can continue to make his "brave new world" WITHOUT YOU because your old and infirm and you COST TOO MUCH TO KEEP AROUND ANY LONGER!

You should state a protest at his house, or maybe find out if he is speaking to any business or special interest groups, and picket outside.

these folks who have been around long time can still call a sham when they see it.

Unfortunately, too many of them voted for the first sham that led to this latest one.

There is a huge difference between what we face now, and the Part D plan.
Part D is only partially subsidized, by the Government, to the tune of about 30 per month per beneficiary, I believe.
There is some fuzzy math to support a bit of a savings for at least SOME beneficiaries -—

It used to be necessary to send some patients to a hospital, to charge certain expensive drugs to Part A of Medicare, or to administer more expensive drugs in a doctors office under Part B of Medicare.

There are a few folks who can take Home Health Care now, with Part D, who could not do so, before.

Also, there is COMPETITION in Part D. The drug companies compete on price, believe it or not. The negotiations take place with the insurance companies. The insurance companies then compete on premium price and copay price, with the public.

There is no “MANDATE” for all seniors to join Part D, only a penalty for those who do not sign up until they actually have drug expenses, or sign up late.

I am an insurance agent.

Part D has been a royal pain in the neck, for me. -— However, it has done many of my clients a world of good.

Obamacare, on the other hand, is Jack Kevorkian's nose in the tent!!!!!

The movement is already under way. There was post to Kansans to picket his office. I will be calling Brownback’s and Robert’s office Monday to find out when they are doing town halls. I WILL be there. Same with my rep however she is communicating that she is against the plan.

Good Lord! That is, uh... exactly what the future holds!

My wife just watched Soilent Green again and was really struck by the seen where Edward G Robinson is submitting to the government run death process so he will no longer burden society (and of course, his remains will be put to good use). It was a comforting, multimedia immersion of imagery showing the days before government rationing where there was an abundance of luxury - like steak and fresh vegetables, individual property ownership, and so on...

Are we there yet?

"Part D is only partially subsidized, by the Government,..."

"Partially"? Give me a break. It was the biggest tax subsidized benefit since LBJ. We can debate all day how much it costs the tax-payers in dollars, but the bottom line is Bush screwed the pooch on that one. His so-called "compassionate conservatism" lost us the WH, the Senate, and the House.

Screw the GOP...a bunch of mealy-mouth week-kneed bunch of go-alongs-to-get-along accommodating clique-ridden punks.

BULL!
You don't like it? FINE!

But, there is absolutely NO WAY that Part D was, in any way, an election campaign issue last year.

Also, the VAST majority of Seniors are HAPPY with their Part D plan.

I am frustrated with the governments over-reaching, where regulation of Part D is concerned, but -— Part D is a PRIVATE program, with PRIVATE insurance, which is heavily regulated by the government but is still very much subject to the free market, as far as drug prices are concerned.

In FACT, there is a very, very, very good chance that the satisfaction that Seniors have, over all, with Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D of Medicare —— JUST MIGHT HELP US KILL OBAMACARE!

Seniors are, generally, so happy with their plans that they have, that they really do not want to change anything!
