No, Wilson is often misquoted and misunderstood in his statements about power and influence. He didn't want to spread freedom, he wanted An invisible empire has been set up above the forms of democracy. His goal wasn't for individuals to have liberty, but to force nations into a situation where they could be trading partners and help make us prosperous. At that, he wanted, in effect to "outsource" (for lack of a better term) the dirty industrial work of the US, where other nations would in essence pay us tribute through their labor. He actually did want an empire, unlike recent presidents who are falsely compared to him.
Whoever wrote this doesn’t have a clue about how any real Republican feels but they sure can make up wonderfully ignorant stereotypes can’t they?
