Makes alot of sense, although I would disagree that the neighbors were racially profilling. The neighbors mereing gave the best description as they could of the suspects.

The neighbors did not call the police because there were two black men loitering in the neighborhood. They called because they saw two people forcing a door in that they didn’t recognize.

I don't know for sure how true it is but I heard that Gates was just renting that house. If so how long has he lived there? Regardless, I myself would not be able to identify who most of my neighbors are. If I saw someone looking like they were breaking in, (regardless if they were black,white,red or yellow) I would probably call the police not realizing they lived there.

I do too. As if the neighbor would have not called the cops if it had been whites or Asians or Mexicans going in through the window.

As far as telling 911 it's "two black guys", you're supposed to give cops as much identifying features as you can....duh.
