On the other hand - he spent too much
Republican Majority House Of Reps should get the credit here, they knew it was a time of war, and that’s when it should have been the time to ‘sacrifice’ and keep spending to a minimum to support our Troops with all our fiscal might.
Instead the Republicans wanted to be popular in Washington, great placeholders, Democrats basically picked up where they left off
Hmmm...
Do you proof your posts at all?
Bush does deserve some blame. He should have stayed far away from that stupid stimulus and let it all fall on Obama’s administration.
Excellent. Keep teaching!
They can not be trusted! I do not know how or why Fox has allowed them to pull the wool over their eyes, time and time again??
I believe it was the 2004 election when they released a poll just a couple days before the election. It was Halloween weekend Oct 31st, they did the poll over Saturday and Sunday, one of the days being Halloween. The poll showed Kerry with a good lead, this was a big pickup for Kerry from their last poll.
Just after the election they had the guy from Opinion Dynamics on along with Scott Rasmussen on a Fox News program. Scott had it real close and of course Opinion Dynamics was way off. The guy from OD basically looking sheepish, said they where a bit suspicious of the poll but they released it anyway.
They knew darn well that you don't poll on weekends and especially not evenings and on holidays....kids where out with parents.
Fox News Opinion Dynamics poll is CRAPOLA. They must know this???
Britt Hume once said...and are poll is not done by a bunch of Republicans... you can say that again.
Fox News Opinion Dynamics poll is best used at the cottage outhouse.
Now I am sure that all the polls will show this same result, because all the pollsters are in the tank for Obama and the Democrats. Sure when it`s not crunch time they may appear honest once in a while, but not when push comes to shove and their guys are in trouble.
Frank Luntz calls himself a Republican Pollster, he does not like Sarah Palin....I could go on, he spent the better part of the last 10 years at NBC etc.
Pushing...down throat...Barney Frank...lost dinner! 8')
You’re doing God’s work. Keep it up.
Remind them that when Pelosi/Reid took control of Congress in Jan 2007 unemployment was 4.7% and the DOW was 12,398. They say a camel is a horse that was designed by a committee. Well Congress is a 535 member committee.
You guys are answering my post ONE YEAR later? That’s a first!
Yeah, I was searching for something else, saw your post and responded before I noticed the post date. Glad to see you’re still there! (LOL!)
I’m not still there in the sense of being at that place where I could carefully argue with liberals; we all lost our jobs three months ago. But I’m still here at FR and hope I always will be. Perhaps the libs at my old job are now rethinking their previous adoration of the Anointed One.
It’s interesting to see this thread after a year. Very interesting as compared to where we were even last year. Sorry to hear about your job ottb. Hopefully the dumbbo libs that were there are having an awakening. Are you back at work?
No, thanks for asking—out of 500 people at my old company, not one of us who is over 40 has gotten a new job, even though some of us have been looking for over a year, and most of us have excellent resumes. I’m spending half my time looking for a job, half my time trying to start a business, and the third half trying to get my house and yard straightened up in case I need to sell. This winter is going to be a tough one, but despite everything I believe I will figure something out. Throw a prayer our way if you can take a moment.
At least after a year we have the consolation of knowing that fewer and fewer people have faith in the Dems. Even in my state, the most liberal of the liberal states, a Republican contender is ahead in the governor’s race!
Sorry to hear about your job. Hope things are looking upwards.
Definitely will keep you in prayer. I’m sorry to hear of your circumstance but it sounds like you have the can do attitude. What is your ‘specialty?’
Hopefully you will land work before the winter. Here’s a link for you if you don’t have it: http://www.indeed.com/?from=ja&fr=t&of=1 Plenty of jobs come through my email daily (I too have been looking...and am also in that ‘over 40’ crowd). So maybe this link will help.
Good luck to you ottbmare.
Idiots.
You can put all the data out there showing the actions by the new Democrat majority in the House in 2006 laid the foundations for the increased wall street securitization of the increased demand for housing loans that the House created by screwing with Fanny and Freddie to the point that lending standard were nonexistent. The dems put the blame on the banks and refused to take any responsibility for the regulations they imposed to super size the home lending industry. Someone had to securitize those loans and wall street managed to do it
But it does not matter because the media thinks its all republican spin and refuses to cover it. That would include most of FOX as well.
What is really going on here is that people are reacting to decades of conditioning by the media, which can be summed up in a simple principle: Democrats/Liberals good; Republicans/conservatives bad. That's pretty much all you need to know about American politics, and it is going to take some time and effort to change that...
