Unbelievable, they will be blaming Bush until, of course, the economy turns around, then it will be laid at the feet of Barack Obama and his brilliant Stimulus package....Foxnews/Opinion Dynamics released today...

That dog is slowly starting to not hunt
That's a big collapse over 6 months.
Just add 3pts a month until Oct 2010 and you're in real catastrophe territory for the Dems...
That's precisely what Obortion and his sycophants in the media will be telling them to believe.
Some GOP needs to point out we had a Democratic Congress since 2007.
Of course, for 8 years Bush was pushing all those mortgages down everyone’s throat over Barney Franks objections /sar
I sabotage this all I can. At work I talk wistfully to people about the good old days, when we all got pay raises because unemployment was so low, nonexistent inflation, prosperity everywhere, ho we could all buy nice cars, we had money and no one was worried about poverty and job loss—back in the early 2000s. After I work this line for awhile I start slipping in mentions of the fantastic Bush economy. It gives people pause. If they still don’t get it I give them a history lesson about the Community Reinvestment Act, Jimmy Carter, Janet Reno, mortgage bundling, Christopher Dodd, Barney Frank and his boyfriend at Fannie Mae. I am making some conquests here in the Heart of Darkness, Montgomery County, Maryland.
The brilliance of the New Tone strategy.
odumbo is doing a fine job by himself of making everybody hate him so quickly
True enough. BUT GWB should have been much more vocal about Fannie Mae, etc. The new tone didn’t help him or the country. Reps HAVE to run against the media and over their heads. Any other tactic let’s them win.
Don’t mention GW’s government spending.
I think it is kind of wierd that a fox poll would show
that a huge majority is blaming bush for deficits and so on especially in July. Most of the people in my opioninon
who watch Fox are intelligent and more informed than le’ts say a CNN viewer/Kool Aid drinker
It’s a mixed bag w/ Bush isn’t it?
On one hand - we could’ve sunk into a terrible plight post 9/11, - but his tax cuts helped stimulate the economy.
Throughout his administration -the tax cuts kept things humming along.
On the other hand - he spent too much. In hind sight, now that we’ve seen what really reckless spending looks like w/ Obama - Bush’s spending seems like small beans.
Bush was not diligent enough in fighting the Fannie/Freddie problem.
He fell for the whole bailout mentality too easily.
He didn’t fight the libs enough in defense of himself - or in republican stances on capitalism.
Little reminders like that wouldn't be hard, particularly since they're true.
I can understand trying the strategy, but after the first two years of them biting his face, you'd think he might have re-thought the idea.........
we have a winner here!!
Of course not! I'm a better propagandist than that. Nor would I mention his open-door policy toward illegals or any other points on which I disagree with him. I don't actually even mention his name; I let the listeners come up with it themselves. Once you mention his name they turn their ears off. The point is to show how good we had it back then compared to the way things are now.
