I find it entertaining that the state run media finally had to acknowledge the fact that this is an issue. Of course all they showed in their piece is the people who say Obama is legit. I hope that the issue boils up more and we get an answer to the question

obi wa nobama, or SOMEONE, acting on his behalf, pored a LOT of money into concealing as much of his background as possible BEFORE last year’s election. MANY of us here at FR, questioned his shadowy childhood long before 11/4/08 and were told that all was well.

Increasingly, this issue is growing larger and gaining more legs. There has been a concerted attack, of late, on the “birthers” (or Truthers, if you prefer), that, IMO, has Rahmbo Emmanel’s “fingerprints” all over it. Rahmbo, perhaps, decided that, since the issue wasn’t going away, the best strategy might be to take the issue on directly and try to belittle those of us wanting to see zero’s vault copy of his BC. Clearly, the more chatter the attacks generate, the more this is backfiring on zero.

Elections still have consequences and electing someone whose early childhood records are either missing, sealed (as many of zero’s are), or unavailable should raise huge red flags. Something is VERY wrong with Obama’s background such that his information is NOT readily available.

If he has nothing to hide, why did he go around various states and institutions demanding that his records be sealed?? Records that are, normally, public documents??

You know... every time this subject comes up about the birth certificate, I’ve seen these characteristics that identify those of the “Obama Derangement Syndrome”....

No... it’s a *real syndrome* all right. And there are folks who have it. The only thing I can figure out is that some people “went insane” after Obama was elected and this was how they decided to “cope” with the changed world they were in.

As for myself, I was shocked. What can I say? I mean it was really depressing that Obama was elected — but fortunately — I did not descend into the Obama Derangement Syndrome, but rather, started working with my state legislature to pass legislation to require any candidate produce a birth certificate if they were running for office, or else they cannot be on the ballot.

What can I say? Some people “went insane” and some people “got down to productive work” — in regards to Obama, in order to do something in the “real world”....

Here are some of the characteristics of Obama Derangement Syndrome, that I’ve seen and compiled from interviewing various insane people.... :-)

I’ll outline a few so you can see what I’ve defined as that...

(1) A military coup because Obama is not qualified and the military forces his resignation (there are variations on that but they all center on a military coup, forcing Obama out of office by the military people).

(2) Obama is not President right now... (a real detachment from reality).

(3) Obama can be removed from office as President right now by a judge ordering a U.S. Marshal to walk into the Oval Office and arrest Obama and remove him from the White House.

(4) The reason why Obama has not been removed from office thus far and the courts have not removed him is because there is a widespread conspiracy, fear, or collusion or whatever other reason supplied for the conspiracy. “Everyone” is involved in the conspiracy and thus Obama can’t be removed. (can be variations on this but it’s all about a general and widespread conspiracy as to why Obama is still in office).

(5) The idea that Obama must present his birth certificate, even though there is no legal requirement to do so, and even though no other candidates have ever been compelled, legally, to produce their birth certificate, and that if Obama doesn’t produce his birth certificate, then he is not qualified.

(6) The rejection of simple, real-world solutions to this birth certificate problem (like getting an ordinary state law requiring the showing of a birth certificate), and instead, insisting on “solutions” that don’t work in the real world and/or “solutions” that have not worked in all this time.

Or at the very least, see to it that he cannot run for re-election in 2012. I think this is where to focus the battle.

The problem I have with all this is that it all seems to be a day late and a dollar short. Well before the election there was plenty of material made public regarding BHO’s questionable and murky background not to mention his dangerously radical politics and associations. The Rev. Wright tapes alone should have made any reasonable and normal person question BHO’s fitness to serve as POTUS. IMHO, regardless of where BHO was born, he is no more qualified to be POTUS than is someone like Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, Rev. Wright, or Bill Ayers.

The problem is the damage has ALREADY been done. I am not holding my breath and waiting for some federal judge to say to BHO that he must produce a valid COLB if we wishes to remain in office. If that happens, great—I will be jumping up and down and shouting out with joy along with the rest of you. BHO was elected president by both the popular vote and the Electoral College and was duly certified. It will be very very hard to undue all of this.

Our Founding Fathers and Framers of our Constitution made the removal a sitting POTUS a very difficult task. 2/3 of the U.S. Senate must vote to convict after the House votes to submit articles of impeachment. By its very nature, impeachment is a very intensely political (therefore partisan) process. The first president to be impeached was Democrat Andrew Johnson who faced a Republican controlled Congress. The second president to face the impeachment was Republican Richard Nixon who faced a Democrat controlled Congress which was on the verge of impeaching him. And of course the third president to be impeached was Democrat Bill Clinton who faced a Republican controlled congress.

See the pattern here? That is why I maintain that we as conservative activists focus most of our energy and focus retaking control of the Congress in next year’s midterm elections. We did this before in 1994 and we could do it again in 2010. Control of Congress is absolutely essential in order stop BHO’s relentless determination to impose socialism in our country. A congressional committee could even investigate BHO’s birth certificate issue to determine whether or not it is valid and precisely where he was born.

I do not have emotional capital at all invested in the birth certificate issue coming to a constitutional crisis any time soon so long as the Democrat Party controls all the levers of power. Instead, I am focused on electing conservatives to the House and Senate who respect the Constitution, believe in limited government and rule of law, respect individual liberty, private prpoerty, and free market capitalism as well as strong commitment to national security, securing or borders, and traditional values.

This is the only realistic way I know of restoring our limited government republican principles envisioned by our founding fathers.

I just call them ‘constitutionalists’. I’m not sure what you’d call people on the other side that think that the constitution is irrelevant in this matter.

Hey, if others disagree with the constitutionalists, let them charge Obama with criminal fraud, make Biden President, and let him run again after they amend the constitution. There’s a process for changing things about the constitution you don’t like. Sorry about the inconvenience of it, but I think that was the idea.

A detroit radio station called the Kenyan embassy after the election of Obama. After a a few minutes they get through to the ambassador of Kenya.

The ambassador of Kenya says that obama was born in Kenya and that his birth place has become a national shrine.

It can be reasonably pointed out that the DJ was trying to entrap the Ambassador and that the Ambassador fell into his trap.
However, if you listen to the long version of the radio interview --you’ll notice he used the same strategy on two different occasions and the ambassador gently brushed him off.

First, he tried to force the ambassador to sing the Kenyan national anthem. The ambassador referred him to the kenyan website.

Second he tried to push the ambassador into saying something about maybe Kenya becoming the 51st state. Again the ambassador said that Kenya was a sovereign country. ie No.

He used the same technique on the question of Obama’s birth place. This time the ambassador did not brush him off. Rather in answer to the question as to whether Obama was born in Kenya --he says "It is well known."

Because the ambassador answered no in the two previous examples -- you can't say that the ambassdor was either a fool or ill advised.

Finally, you might ask well doesn't he know that saying Obama is born in Kenya would make trouble for Obama? The answer there is why should he be concerned? He has heard no suggestion in the mainstream media that there might be a problem there. So to say what is already well known--as he says--would be no problem.

Subsequently, the Kenyan ambassador said that he meant Obama's father was born in Kenya. However, when pressed about Obama's birth place:

"I don't know," he said with a tone of irritation. "You should ask your government. I know his father is Kenyan."

However, that's not what the original transcript suggests. clear="all" /> Finally, there is a Affidavit of Bishop Ron McRae which is part of the Berg case. The Bishop says pretty much the same thing as the Ambassador.

"Additionally, it is common knowledge throughout both the Christian and Muslim communities in Kenya, that contrary to news media propaganda here in the United States, US Senator Barack Obama is a Muslim and not a Christian, and that he was born in Mombasa, Kenya and not in the State of Hawaii as falsely purported by the Obama campaign for presidency of the United States."

While you cannot impeach the ambassador's character, you can impeach McCrae's character. After all, he's just an itinerant preacher. But McCrae has been to Kenya. Still that makes two people who say that it is common knowledge in Kenya that Obama was born in Kenya.
Then of course there is a video of Obama's grandmother saying that Obama is born in Kenya
There is a case to be made that Obama mother didn't mean Obama was born in Kenya but rather that he is a "son of this village". However, witnesses insist that she said she was present at obama's birth in Kenya. If taken alone, perhaps she could well be ignored. However, her take is in keeping with others both high and low.

Again here is a pdf transcript of Kenyan National Assembly on Nov 5, 2008, the day after Obama was elected. Over and over again there are references to Obama being a "son of the soil" of Kenya and a Kenyan. On page page 3275 there is this passage:

In July 2009 a Ghanian newspapersays of Obama that ""For Ghana, Obama's visit will be a celebration of another milestone in African history as it hosts the first-ever African-American president on this presidential visit to the continent of his birth," The American Thinker explains here why Obama's short form released by fightthesmears is not sufficient for Hawaii. There is evidence to suggest that the home named in the newspaper archived article as the place where Obama was born -- was lived in by a couple not Obama's parents. Even the Honalulu Advertiser has a different address of record for Obama's father than the one listed newspaper birth listing. The hospital where Obama claims he was born--refuses to either confirm or deny that he was in fact born there--and that despite the fact that Obama has said he was born there in writing--and presented the hospital a memo to that effect...right after he was elected. What's more newspaper accounts of his birth place him in other hospitals around Hawaii. None of these will comment either.

The Obama administration could put this to rest by releasing his long form birth certificate. But he doesn't. Instead of just releasing his long form birth certificate he has paid his lawyers over 1 million dollars from campaign contributions since Sept 08 to squash the suits brought on the issue. Why bother. The Arnold would have run for president long ago and likely won if he were a "natural born" american. He's not. He's naturalized. So he can't run. And he knows it. (though there were some trial balloons sent up a couple years back about changing the law--that went nowhere.)

Res. 511 to “recognize that John Sidney McCain is a natural born citizen.” The resolution is allegedly meant to clarify that McCain is eligible to be President even though he was born in Panama. Because McCain’s parents were both Americans and he was born in Panama because his father was stationed there while in the military, existing law already covers McCain and he is eligible to be President. Two denials in short order is of a piece with the other anomolies in his record. Especially since it seems Obama's people instigated the break in.
