So what is the conservative solution?
Let hospitals and insurance companies compete. Stop forcing them to cover everything. A single man doesn’t need cervical cancer coverage etc etc. The mandates have raised the price of insurance mightily. Allow Medical Savings Accounts.
Let a hospital offer their own ‘insurance’ where you get covered for paying a monthly membership fee.
Let doctors charge flat monthly fees for service.
Let them all compete.
Once we understand and fix our immigration system, we will then be in a position to understand what America's true health-care cost is a percentage of GDP, and how many people citizens are actually without coverage. I suspect it's a much lower number than advertised.
But, without the illegal immigration problem fixed, health-care will never be fixable.
That's the funny thing; there is a perfectly simple solution to this problem that is both elegant and Constitutionally legal (unlike nearly all the other proposed plans).
But no one wants to hear it, so I'm not going to bother wasting my time typing it up since no one would bother reading it anyway. Besides, their goals have little if anything to do with providing actual health care and everything to do with CONTROLLING access to health care.
No need for a solution. There is no problem.
Show me where in the constitution its says "The federal government shall provide health care".
