Here is video of GOP Rep. Charles Boustany of Louisiana talking about what he calls "an interesting development" in the Health Care battle. He says "Blue Dog" Democrats - more conservative Dems - are beginning to talk with House Republicans about working together to come up with a Health Reform Plan not as radical as what Obama is proposing.
This could signal that Obama is really losing steam on his health care bill in the House. If "Blue Dog" Democrats abandon him, it will mean they don't think they can win reelection in 2010 on his agenda. . . . . (Watch Video)

A compromise plan would likely be just as bad as Obama’s. It would just take longer for the pain to kick in.
The old joke is that the Democrats propose a bill to burn down the Library of Congress and the Republicans counter with a proposal to phase it in over three years.
Now face the wrath of the Wicked Witch of the West!...
How about the government keeps its grubby mitts off health care, and they pay attention to what they are SUPPOSED TO BE DOING, i.e., defending us from all enemies foreign and domestic, etc., as spelled out in the Constitution.
Interestingly, two of the Ohio Blue Dogs split on Cap ‘n tax: Zack Space & Charlie Wilson.
Space holds Bob Ney’s former seat, Wilson holds the current governor, Ted Strickland’s former seat.
IMO, Space is playing with fire if he thinks there will be no reaction from Cap ‘n Tax. Even the UMWA types I run into from that area dislike him for it. In contrast, Wilson — perhaps as public posturing — made quite clear Zero was twisting his arm behind his back as a result of his NO vote on Cap ‘n Tax. Again, the UMWA types I run into from that area respect Wilson for standing up against this stuff; they don’t seem to have much respect for Space.
Apparently, the Dims figure the Ohio GOP is too disorganized to throw up a viable candidate in 2010 against Space. They may be right.
If I were Blue Dogs, I’d switch parties - FAST! It won’t be enough to be a conservative in 2010 - it will be “do you want to keep Nancy Pelosi in power” in 2010.
Accordingly, we just need to pass a bill giving the 15.7 million uninsured Americans the same rights as illegal aliens. Problem solved!
One would think, considering the Republican stimulus was “only” $475 billion.
I doubt the blue dogs would accept true reform (including tort reform)
I’ll believe it when I see it. Hussein’s cult is strong.
Most Blue-Dog Democrats should be re-named Blue-Ball democrats because they dont use what god gave them.
They pretend they do. Mine voted for cap and trade, after he said he wouldn’t.
Although has voted with the Republicans (along with 7, 8 other Dems) on these recent appropriations bills.
