The question it raises for me when I see these people fawned over at death (as in life) , is why are we a culture of idol worshippers... and breaking the first Commandment?

These people were given extraordinary gifts from God and how did they use these gifts to further His Kingdom? It is this question that matters, all the rest is burned up in sacrificing time and effort to false idols.
