What got us into this mess was accepting the existence of socialism and then marxism in this nation. Treating their “concerns” and their “issues” as legitimate... Now we are at the point that the only way out of this mess is to disassociate ourselves from the complete idiots that vote the marxists into office.

“Conservatism”, “conservatives” or whatever the hell you want to call people who DEMAND their freedom, their liberty and their rights as human beings are NOT the problem. When those people finally get sick and f-—ing tired of waiting around for people to come to their senses and start taking measures to regain what was taken from them... That is not a problem... That is the solution....

Im done being polite to folks who choose to be part of the problem, be they the marxists in office, the idiots who vote for them, the socialist republicans or the fake “conservatives” who support them and council restraint...

The only way to get our freedom back is to TAKE IT BACK!

I think what got us into this mess is that we voted conservative and got country club Republicanism.

We've talked a lot about Rinos on FR, but the Republican party, prior to Reagan, was the big money party of the rich, east coast set. Reagan was the first Republican that brought in blue collar voters. Nixon had some success because the Democrats were effectively taken over by the communists in 68-72, and conservatives had no place to go.

After Reagan, Bush I and then Bush II moved in policy back towards the tax breaks for large corporations, create government projects for large corporations (ethanol, for example) and effectively kneecapped conservative candidates (endorsing Specter in the primary over Toomey.) While they threw an occasional bone to the religious conservatives, they ignored that Reagan had built a three legged base that was unbeatable. Fiscal conservatives+social conservatives+libertarians. Personally, I don't believe any one can exist without the other two. Social liberalism breeds one parent families, drug addiction and other societal problems that create a large number of people who cannot work or feed themselves. Social liberalism WILL breed economic liberalism. When economic liberalism breeds a constituency that believes the government will take care of them regardless of the idiocy of their personal choices, liberty will suffer, and the libertarian mantra of "you can do drugs, but don't ask me to pay for it" will fall by the way side.

Here on FR, the libertarians and social conservatives bash each other relentlessly, with no outside help from liberals. The simple fact is, though, you either restrain yourself or someone else restrains you. Libertarianism cannot exist without a moral code. It will become anarchy, and after anarchy comes rule by the strong man. Similarly, fiscal conservatism will not survive without social conservatism. The social conservatives do not understand that social conservatism cannot survive without fiscal conservatism and libertarianism.

Recently Mr. Moran was a guest on the Lee Rodgers Show (KSFO). Mr. Moran chuckled and brushed aside Lee Rodgers' similar concerns about the Obama Administration. Rodgers seemed surprised at Moran's response, it seemed to me.

BTW, searches reveal that Moran has known Free Republic for years; so what's he up to acting(?) like he has no idea who the owner is?

I recall past writings of Mr. Moran. Is he a Michael-Savage-like independent conservative?
