Olbermann defends Bush “dissidents,” calls Maj. Stefan Cook a “jackass”
The Constitutional Alamo ^ | 07/15/09 | Michael Naragon

On Tuesday, Maj. Stefan Frederick Cook’s orders to head for Afghanistan were revoked. Under normal circumstances, this would not make for remarkable news. Maj. Cook, however, has refused to deploy until Barack Obama produces credible proof that he is indeed a natural-born citizen of the United States. Maj. Cook and his attorney Orly Taitz have voiced concerns that, if Obama’s legitimacy is questionable, Maj. Cook may not be protected by the Geneva accords, as he will have been sent to war illegally.

Interestingly, the military revoked the order rather than fight Maj. Cook’s refusal. Keith Olbermann, in a desire to remain current, called Maj. Cook and Taitz his “worst people in the world,” categorizing Maj. Cook as a coward for questioning the legitimacy of his commander.

With the previous administration in charge, Olbermann seemed to view objectors in a different light. The second video below is from 2007 in which the Countdown anchor chronicled the famous reunion of an Iraq War veteran with his wife and two sons. Unable to refrain from politicizing such an event, Olbermann describes what “supporting the troops” truly entails, and, as he explains, it is not “thumping a chest and waving a flag and threatening a dissenter.” Dissenters who refuse to follow the orders of our de facto president, however, are evidently fair game.

Keith Olbermann is so fundamentally dishonest, he corkscrews himself into bed each and every night.

While I admire this guys stand in many ways, I wonder if he will refuse to show up for monthly drills as ordered. I wonder if he will proceed with many of his individual duties that come from orders.

(For the record: I can’t stand the Zero. I voted for the citizen who was running.)

> categorizing Maj. Cook as a coward for questioning the legitimacy of his commander.

There was a time not so long ago when that assertion would have required a duel. Olbermann may want to thank his lucky stars that he lives in this cowardly, enlightened age.

This is the problem I have, as well. And, to be honest, I’m not sure where I come down on it yet. I completely understand the complaint, but as you say, where does he draw the line? I suppose that’s something he has to determine, and take the lumps when they come for whatever decision he’s made. In the meantime, however, I wanted to point out yet another evidence of hypocrisy from the Left.

All the good people are dead and I don’t feel so good my self.

I remember a John Wayne movie where he goes “ I normally would belt you but I won’t. The hell I won’t! SMACK!”

(grin!) I remember that one, too. There’s still nothing or no-one like The Duke...

From the synopsis, I'd guess the answer is that he will not refuse those orders. The specific complaint he raises is the loss of protection of Geneva Conventions for being sent into a war zone illegally. An interesting tactic in the whole "how do I gain standing?" shell game.

Is this the same KO the JO who routinely called the Iraq war illigitmate and supported those volunteers who refused to go on their deployments? I’d like to meet this punk spit in his face and see what he’d do about it. Hey jerkoff, only 176 days since BO the marxist declared victory on the war against the recession, asshole.

Similar to another Duke scene in Rio Bravo where they’re questioning some toughs in the saloon. John Wayne walks up to a man that had lied to him about a killer running into the saloon and belts the liar with his rifle. Dean Martin tries to calm John Wayne down, and the Duke’s classic response as the man’s groaning on the floor with a large growing welt on the side of his head? “Awwwwww, I’m not gonna hurt him.”

There aren’t any movie heroes like that anymore.

I would think this is great ‘standing’ to ask for his birth certificate.

If I recall, all suits to date have been dismissed because the plaintiffs essentially have been told they had no business asking

Olbermann, as usual, is blabbing out of the wrong end of the horse.

Let's see how Jackass Keith responds to the current developments .

Orders revoked for soldier challenging prez
Major victory for Army warrior questioning Obama's birthplace
