The catcher was squating on the plate rather than behind it and still had to lean forward to catch it. It looked to be about a 57 or 58 foot pitch. And that was after a high, arcing throw that had no speed on it.
Yep. He short-hopped the plate after throwing like a sissy. I had seen video of his pitch at the Sox game earlier this year. I just had to watch his throwing “style” live.
Replay during the game showed the result of his “throw”.
Even though we hear about how much Opossum likes to play basketball, we have absolutely no video of him playing. I speculate that his handlers (and media) are covering for his lack of athletic coordination.
I’m betting I could take him in 1:1 followed by a game of HORSE. And I’m 5’8” and over 50.
