A 16-year-old neighbor reports this from the Jonas Brothers concert on July 13:
Audience members were able to text messages, and some were selected to be shown on a big screen.
When a message read "Scream if you like Sasha and Malia" a yell went up. (Probably in appreciation that the Obama sisters' attendance did not delay the start of the show, which actually started 3 minutes early.)
"But," said this wise conservative young lady, "when the next one said 'Scream if you like Twilight!' Three times as loud."
Wonder what it would have been if it said "Scream if you like Sarah Palin."
Probably somewhere in between...

Just wait until these girls get a load of Jim Thompson.
I admit I actually like their music. Because sometimes you just need something cutesy that makes you happy. My kids watch their new show. It’s terribly silly, but Kevin Jonas’s character is a whole lot like Micky Dolenz of Monkees fame.
Raise your hand if you don’t like bubble gum pop crap.
*raises hand*
*raises both hands*
Heh
You don’t have to like their music to appreciate the good example they’re setting for today’s youth.
“Twilight” is about vampires who want to be human. On the other hand, 0bama is a former human who became a vampire.
Scream for me, Long Beach!
