Can we all agree that the Gestapo/SS has a - what can we call it bad reputation? As the enforcers for the National Socialist Workers Party (NAZI) they handled the detail work of taking care of the Third Reichs enemies.
How did they acquire such a bad reputation?
Before you dismiss this as a stupid question, can we agree that during World War 2 atrocities were committed by all sides? Innocent civilians were killed by all sides; thats the nature of war, especially war with dumb bombs and unguided weapons. Both the Axis and the Allies killed their enemies ruthlessly, both openly and surreptitiously.
The reason that the Gestapo/SS is viewed as such a heinous villain is twofold. First, the Axis lost the war. If they had won, a much different history would have been written because history is written by the winners. Second, the atrocities that were committed by the Gestapo/SS were vicious and grotesque. Cruelty was a feature, not a bug, in their system. They were not just killing their enemies; they were setting an example to all would-be enemies. The message was: cross us and you will not only be dead, you will be tortured to death. Hurt one of us and a hundred of you will die. Threaten the Reich, and not just you but your entire family will be killed.
The treatment that Sarah Palin has received at the hands of the Liberal media brought the reputation issue to mind. The defamation of Palin and her family is so over-the-top, so absolutely gutter ugly, so repulsive that a point has been reached that has only two outcomes. Either Palin or her enemies will go down in history with a horrible stain on their reputations.

Sarah Palin initiated a brilliant flanking manuever against the left, the DNC, and the MSM (and throw the RINOs in there for good measure) that has them all in a frenzy wondering what her next move will be and how it will be perceived...and has them frothing at the mouth in their efforts to discredit her.
Sarah will now get her book out, go on tour, give speeches and promote conservatie principles all over this country in the midst of the Obama administration disaster and gain great political capital in the process. Then she will support conservative candidates in 2010 and help them win, amassing much more political capital. She will then take all of that and make an awesome, stunning run for the Presidency in 2012.

That what scares liberals. I've worked with elitist liberals most of my life, and they absolutely detest the folksy, homespun ways of middle America. They don't want anyone who shares those "quaint" values running this country.
A beautiful scenario! The liberal attack machine made a big blunder. They have flushed her out into the open where she can operate in an unconstrained, "at large" mode. They're going to regret this. LOL.
In a way, Sarah's decision to resign "unfroze" her from having to take hits without an ability to mount effective defense. Now she'll be bobbing and weaving and landing her own shots.
There is a REASON Palin scares them and I am SHOCKED no one is publicly saying it!
1. Last polling I saw WOMEN overwhelmingly support DEMs (and their propaganda).
2. If the female vote is significantly compromised for the Dems (i.e. the National Socialists), then they LOSE POWER!
3. Palin is strong, has values, is attractive, and still feminine.
4. Palin is popular and has strong moral convictions, INCLUDING the demonstration that the slaughter of babies is WRONG.
So, in one person she represents the undoing of the careful campaing to mislead and use WOMEN that the leftist Dems and their media machine have been building for some 30 years.
In a nutshell, Palin HAD to be stopped, no matter how they needed to do it.
