Here is a video report on plans for President Obama and family to tour a former Slave Castle during his trip to the African nation of Ghana. The castle was used as a place to house thousands of Africans captured for the slave trade before they embarked for their journey to America. The report also shows how the people are prepared to greet Obama as a favorite son of Africa. . . . . . (Watch Video)

Gosh —— will there be an apology for the slave trade? I certainly hope that no relatives of Obama’s were involved in capturing, then selling slaves to the west! Oh, the shame!
Guess I'm not surprised.
Of course it will be conveniently forgotten that those capturing the slaves were OTHER AFRICANS!!
Is there a slave castle somewhere where slaves destined for the muslim middle east are housed? Oh wait, if there is it's still being used. Hey, here's an idea, why doesn't Zer0 apologize for all the slaves still in bondage today by muslims? I think he personally has more to apologize for in that regard than the US which fought a war to free their slaves.
Elmina Castle was built as a fort in the late 1400’s, by the Portuguese, initially handling the burgeoning gold trade out of the Gold Coast or “Guinea.”
The slave trade begun by Arab traders ultimately proved more lucrative, however, and the Portuguese began trading with the inland “slave catcher” tribes of Africa, which had been capturing Africans for slavery for quite some time prior, for Arabs.
The Dutch took over the fort at some point and continued the slave trade, primarily with Brazil in the Americas, right up to 1871, when the British took over and abolished the trade.
mainly muslim africans,from the north
Zero should apologize to Caucasian Americans for his ancestors corrupting them to the use of slaves. They did not know about slavery until Zero’s ancestors introduced them to the drug of slave labor. Once hooked on his ancestors ways we were as bad as they were. There is nothing noble about Zero’s African ancestors.
oh lord, not another epiphany
given the crudeness of available surgical methods and absence of sterile techniques, the human gelding procedure by which eunuchs were ‘manufactured’ was associated with extraordinary rates of morbidity and mortality. Hogendorn describes the severity of the operation, and provides mortality information from West and East Africa: [44]
Castration can be partial (removal of the testicles only or removal of the penis only), or total (removal of both). In the later period of the trade, that is, after Africa became the most important source for Mediterranean Islam, it appears that most eunuchs sold to the markets underwent total removal. This version of the operation, though considered most appropriate for slaves in constant proximity to harem members, posed a very high danger of death for two reasons. First was the extensive hemorrhaging, with the consequent possibility of almost immediate death. The hemorrhaging could not be stopped by traditional cauterization because that would close the urethra leading to eventual death because of inability to pass urine. The second danger lay in infection of the urethra, with the formation of pus blocking it and so causing death in a few days.
...when the castration was carried out in subSaharan West and WestCentral Africa...a figure of 90% [is] often mentioned. Even higher death rates were occasionally reported, unsurprising in tropical areas where the danger of infection of wounds was especially high. At least one contemporary price quotation supports a figure of over 90% mortality: Turkish merchants are said to have been willing to pay 250 to 300 (Maria Theresa) dollars each for eunuchs in Borno (northeast Nigeria) at a time when the local price of young male slaves does not seem to have exceeded about 20 dollars...Many sources indicate very high death rates from the operation in eastern Africa.. Richard Millant’s [1908] general figure for the Sudan and Ethiopia is 90%

Oh the guilt! wait! they weren’t White! no guilt no guilt!
Somehow I think only the 'guilt' part will come through in the version glorious leader and family will bring back with them.
I'll be waiting.
He is such a politically correct manchurian kewpie doll
Will he chastise the African tribes who captured and sold slaves and spiked their babies around their barracoons pits since said babies were of no good to them and in cases fed them to folks.
read up on Barracoon life in slaving kingdoms of west Africa..it reads like Dante
does anyone ever stop to compare life expectancy with slaves 175 years ago in North America with Negroes left behind in Africa
one can make that same comparison today and having lived in West Africa I already know the answer
would Negroes be better off worldwide had they been left in geographical seclusion south of the Sahara?
anyone care to answer?
probably the least touched part of Negroid Africa are parts of the Congo...anyone like to venture how bucolic a human existence that's turned out to be?
this whole notion that we should apologize is crazy, in reality one could argue that servitude beat certain early death and tribal butchery
as a white guy...am I better off the French ran my Huguenot kin off or that English peerage forced my 3rd or 4th son ancestor to seek a betetr life in America or the Cromwell orphans Scots-Irish exodus....should I blame those forces or rejoice in being here?
if we continue to patronize blacks and other minorities and excuse their disproportionate poor culture we are not doing them a favor right now or in historical context ....it's a weakness, an extension of our own self loathing but as for myself not being unfamiliar with all this and having lived immersed as a white man in majority black culture a big chunk of my life I ain't buying it..Obama can go apologize for his own damned faults not mine.
Just ask any American blacks if they wish their great great great great great great grandparents had been left in West Africa, so that they would have been born there instead of in the USA.
Case closed.
