Maybe these conversations will help - one person at a time. I do think that some in the Media as well as independents are beginning to wake up. Maybe it was the stimulus, or the constant far left-wing legislation, or the nationalization of private industries - or just the economy and continued rising unemployment, but for whatever reason it does seem to be happening - at last. I just wish I had more sympathy for them - but after what they have helped to do to this country, I just can’t muster much. Maybe if we survive this regime, maybe then.

“He wants to be King of Pimps.”

Suspect Barney doesn’t mean “unreachable” the same way the rest of us would.

It is a long story, but I criticized both Republicans and Democrats who have betrayed us. She has a little granddaughter and I explained that her granddaughter was becoming a slave of the State. I could go on, but I put it on a personal level that she could relate to.

She knows I am conservative and when she knew I was criticizing Republicans {RINO’s}-(she wouldn’t know a RINO from a rock}, she realized I was sincere.

You share many of my sentiments. Individual conversations, when presented in the right way, are the key. We must relate to the and then open their minds and persuade them. I criticed George Bush and went on to Bill Clinton and once that was established, I went on to hit 0bama very, very hard.

The dimocraps p***ed and moaned when President Bush issued signing statements... kept saying it was unconstitutional... I'm sure B.H.O. complained about the signing statements too, but apparently he's had a change of heart once he attained living quarters @ 1600 Penn. Ave.

B.H.O. = empty suit.

House overwhelmingly rejects signing statement

http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/house-overwhelming-rebukes-obama-signing-statement-2009-07-09.html

From the Congressional Record:

Weiner: “I guess the question is what are we doing here. I think what we’re doing here with this entire bill is saying what we, the Representatives of this country, who have the power of the purse, think should and should not be in the bill.

“What’s the purpose of doing that, I ask the gentleman, if year after year after year, despite the preferences of this Congress, Presidents, Democrat and Republican alike, say, We don’t really care what Members of Congress say. “

Mr. KIRK. “Mr. Chairman, I rise to offer this amendment which refers to the following situation:

“Last month through the 2009 supplemental bill, Congress provided an expansion of resources and powers to the International Monetary Fund as requested by President Obama. This included $108 billion in new funding and approval for the IMF to sell 13 million ounces of gold to fund their internal operating expenses. As part of that bill, and consistent with its oversight role, Congress gave the administration clear guidelines on how an expanded IMF should function.

“On June 24, President Obama decided to disregard those congressionally mandated guidelines. Upon signing the 2009 supplemental into law, the President issued a signing statement that said he would ignore sections 1110, 1112, 1403 and 1404 of the supplemental.

“These provisions provide some of the only oversight that the United States exercises over the IMF, an organization that will triple in size this year.

“The Granger amendment, which I offer here, would prohibit funds in this bill from being used by the Secretary of Treasury to negotiate any agreement in contravention of these statutorily enacted provisions in the supplemental.

“One provision requires the U.S. to oppose IMF loans to countries that are supporters of terrorism, countries like Iran. The Congress consulted the Department of Treasury while drafting this provision. “

WoW! Be still my heart. I’m stunned. BHO better not cross those Congressmen/women like that again because they could bring Articles of Impeachment against him.

Zero is also purporting to conclude treaties without Senate ratification.

Wonder if even Congress is starting to figure out that zero is a wannabe dictator? They should. After all, if zero succeeds in turning the US into a truly marxist state, they'll be out of jobs and out of power. And if zero is true to form for marxists, if they object too much too late, they'll be the first ones to feel zero's wrath.

In fact, we just might see that here. Going to be interesting to see how the narcissist in chief reacts to this censure...

Bush did some very globalist things and made some decisions I just couldn’t believe, but I really lose patience when it comes to those who are just now waking up to the Zero. The information was out there - and every citizen had the duty and the responsibility to look for the truth before pulling that lever. They were warned, and there was MUCH they had to dismiss as unimportant to get to that point: Ayers, Wright, socialized meds, ACORN corruption, agreement to sit down with terrorists, little to no experience, etc.... and the list goes on and on. They had to turn off their brains completely and pull that lever. I have little to no sympathy. I’m glad they’re starting to get a clue - but WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG????????? I just pray it’s not too late for our nation.

It is beyond disgusting how ignorant most people really are. I had to simplify everything I said in order to get my message across to that girl. Most people have absolutely no concept....of.....much.
