I wish we could print this out and send it back in time two years.
Amazing how far off the cliff we have fallen.

Isn’t it amazing how, only after obama was selected, the left wing began to preach civility as a virtue ...

I dont think people fought and gave their lives so that some guy can sit in his bedroom and be mean.”

Maybe the president can appoint an anti-mean czar.

I dont think people fought and gave their lives so that some guy can sit in his bedroom and be mean.Really? So you think the government SHOULD be able to come into our bedrooms?
Huh. I wonder what the sodomites and the abortophiles will think of Mellenhead's assessment.

I dont think people fought and gave their lives so that some guy can sit in his bedroom and be mean. I dont think thats what freedom of speech is, he continued. Freedom of speech is really about assembly...Very interesting...So Mr. Melonhead believes that he has freedom of speech in his live concerts, but should have the contents of all of his albums subject to government approval?

I know, the best way to see if your idea is good is to apply it to someone you disagree with.
The are both liberals and conservatives who claim they are in favor of free speech and freedom fo religion until someone they don’t like exercises it.

Mr. Melloncamp....
Just shut up and sing.
You have no idea what our Founding Fathers meant, and you don’t have a clue about what our troops fought / fight and die for to this day.
The only thing you have a clue about is how to pout.
Buy a vowel and get a clue.

That is the most frightening thought I have heard all month, the idea that freedom of speech is for the collective and not the individual is an atrocious tyrannical idea. Union members cannot say a word, only the union bosses? Puh-Leeze.
Imagine trying to put that idea into action. We would all be forced to join local Bolivarian Councils and they would speak for us whether we agree or not... worse, its illegal and immoral to do so!

Now I admit I'm not a burnt out washed up left wing singer who hasn't had a hit in 25 years, so I'm not really qualified to discuss constitutional issues, but, doesn't the 1st ammendment protect speech that the majority find "mean" or "offensive"?
Popular speech doesn't need protection but unpopulaar opinions, that's a different story.

“You’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything . . .” - unless, of course, you aren’t part of the right crowd. . . uh, I mean left crowd.
I get it now.
