I am continually amazed by the media. And not just the state run media, you know, all of those who have the slobbering love affair with Obama. I mean you kinda expect that. They worked so darned hard to get him elected and want to keep him there. Fend off any challenger, especially one who stands an incredible good chance of beating him.
But the ones that get me are the so-called conservatives. I know much of it has to do with the beltway mentality. The old Washington/New York elite. The ones that dont get out of the big city and mix with the great unwashed, ever.
Frankly, to me, its like an episode of the Twilight Zone!
The normal Americans who have taken time to hear Sarahs Independence Weekend Speech understood every single word she said. (and yes, to her, the timing so close to Independence Day was symbolic)
It was a call to action.
But but but she QUIT!
Did she?
Thats the meme that seems to be universal among these geniuses.
This is where I start to realize that higher learning is a total waste of time if you have the comprehension level of much of todays pundits.
Now in the most technical of terms, yeah, Sarah quit. But that says nothing.
Lets look at where Sarahs thinking seems to have been.
As I wrote earlier, the clues have been there that something was up, but not knowing what was going on inside her mind, we missed them. Its obvious that once she toured the nation and spoke to so many people that she was inspired by Americans just as much as they were inspired by her.

Check your link, it comes up 404 for me.
Thanks
The NYT and all the pundits that follow that trash in print say so thus YES she did! /s
It's a joke, don't bother attacking me.
Sorry for the broken link, this is the working one;
Buzz it up at Yahoo Buzz
>>>>>>> Correction: The Media Declares War, Sarah Palin Declares Herself Irrelevant, And The Crazies Prove pointless.
It’s a joke, don’t bother attacking me. <<<<<<<<<<<
ah, so that would put you in the third group !
One good joke deserves another, so don’t bother attacking me either. :)
It's not about a lack of education among the "pundits" regarding Palin's intentions. It's about propaganda, fed to the sheople that DO lack higher learning and/or common sense.
Palin represents a possible, much needed break from the "business as usual" that both worthless parties represent and seek to maintain. She terrifies the libtards AND the rinotards, hence the mindless venom/propaganda against her from both of those groups.
My father always said that if you send a fool to college, after 4 years all you have in an educated fool..
When she rose to power as Governor of Alaska, it didn't matter which side of the aisle you sought foul refuge in, if you were dirty, she went after you.
President Palin will do exactly the same thing, turn over D.C.'s stones, look under the Beltways beds and rugs, and if she finds you hiding from the light with shady dealings and backroom shenanegans, you're done.
That's why some members of the GOP are as anti-Sarah as the Zero Cabal and their tingle-legged papparazzi droolers.
All of which is irrelevant. She is a force of nature in that this groundswell of growing public demand for actual, moral, constitutional "change" will find its voice and its expression in some candidate for 2012.
I'm betting the House on Sarah. And the Senate. And the Presidency. She will personally usher GOP majorities back into both Houses of Congress, and then into 1600 Penn Ave, and she'll do it on an improbable tide of energized American patriots all of whom refuse to be thought-fed by the State-run Media, and all of whom are completely fed up with Zero's expanded version of the status-quo.
Time alone will tell, but Zero's poll numbers are starting to agree with me, and like the rest of his vile stunts, it's happening with shocking speed.

touché!
Great article gary, very comprehensive. I’d say the definitive article on the reasons behind Sarah’s decision.
Re the reaction of the republican establishment I agree, but obviously some is due to the ambitions of other contenders, through their surrogates. There is Mitt’s and Huck’s, we know. What surprised me was the fairlt strong reactions from possibly the Bush team (or ex-team). Seems like some are thinking JB is viable? Who whudda thunk, eh?
This reignation week certainly identified many, for and against Sarah, and some of their agendas.
