Even From Russia, Obama Still Doesn't Get Honduras
ABC News/The Lid ^ | 7/7/09 | The Lid

Even from Russia the President of the United States leads the world on to the wrong side of the Honduras Issue:

“America supports now the restoration of the democratically-elected President of Honduras, even though he has strongly opposed American policies,” the president told graduate students at the commencement ceremony of Moscow’s New Economic School. “We do so not because we agree with him. We do so because we respect the universal principle that people should choose their own leaders, whether they are leaders we agree with or not. “

President Obama's rationale is naive at best. Deposed Honduras President Manuel Zelaya was trying to use his friend Hugo Chávez's methods of bullying through the law in order to retain power. Honduras’s military acted under judicial orders in deposing the President according to Supreme Court Justice Rosalinda Cruz ... The military immediately turned power back to the people and the congress replaced Zelaya with someone from the same party as the deposed president, no coup, just the prevention of a coup. This was a unanimous move by the Supreme Court of Honduras to preserve the nations democracy. Regrettably, America's President is so wrapped up in his desire to make nice to people like Hugo Chavez, that refuses to acknowledge Honduras' fight to stay free

The question no one in the press will ask Obama:

“Should Zelaya be allowed to disregard the Honduran Constitution without any interference from the Honduran Supreme Court?”

Here’s one they will never ask, As a self proclaimed Constitutional scholar, why have you ignored the 5th amendment when it came to creditors’ rights when you “took over” the car companies? Also, what makes you think you know and understand the constitution of Honduras any better than you do your own? What is it with you and “strongmen” rulers?Envious?

Zelaya is a student of Chavez.

Obama has never condemned Chavez.

Put it all together.

He gets it! Obama understands well that separation of powers and adherence to a constitution are a threat to “socialist” dictatorships such as the one he has installed and is solidifying here. Zelaya was violating his country's constitution and was removed for cause. Obama’s father was never, and never even applied for US citizenship and thus, according to Patrick Leahy, Senate Res. 511 http://leahy.senate.gov/press/200804/041008c.html Obama is not legitimate, and had we still separation of powers, and were our congress congress not bought and paid for, and our supreme court justices as incorruptible as Honduras’, who are now facing the Sandinista Ortega, Chavez's thugs, and Obama's Marxists, Obama would not still be in the White House, and might be in jail.

HONDURAS is the example for the world! We have NO OIL, NO DOLLARS, BUT we have BALLS!"

Actually it says "But we have eggs!", but that's what they call testicles in Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico.

How is Zelaya winning this one? So far the Honduran people & their courts & military & congress & new president, are staying resolute & firm. If Zelaya tries to sneak across the border, I hope that Honduras will either imprison him or deport him once again. I would say that 0boooooooomba is knashing his teeth over the firm resolve of the Honduras in resisting his left-wing socialist pro-communist arrogant edicts & ignorant views.
